A very stylish hotel in the city, yet just away from the very heart of the hustle and bustle.

The welcome was great and efficient. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have that special modern boutique Hotel look and feel. Spotless and very comfortable too. The bathroom is luxurious and I loved the shower.

Cardiff is a fun city and we visit frequently after going to see my Mum. Park Plaza will be on our preferred place to stay list.

I also enjoyed my three days of business in Cardiff because of this hotel. Ideally located, nice and cosy and, last but not least, more than decent restaurant. I'll be back.

Stayed here in February for a short break. Hotel is modern and nicely decorated though our junior suite was really just one big room. Lots of space though! The upgrade for bathrobes, etc, hadn't been processed properly and we didn't remember until the following morning - this was taken off the bill though. Both the quick snack we had in the bar in the evening and the breakfast the next morning were excellent.

Would we stay again? Yes, definitely.

The hotel was first class, the staff helpful and friendly and just nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again...Only comment would be about breakfast, poor quality of food and when they charge over £10 per person that really needs to be looked at!!! - i.e. juice made from concentrate, make your own toast and quite frosty severe greeting/table manager who was there in her own time and certainly not in yours, waited over 5 mins to be seated and there was no-one in front of us.

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room it helps

Stayed at the Park Plaza in January for a birthday celebration. Had requested 5 rooms on the quiet side of the hotel. On arrival this request had not been honoured despite an e mail the day before from reservations stating they would endeavor to honor it. The check in staff were excellent and quickly gave us the requested rooms and upgraded the birthday girl to a junior suite.
Rooms very nice and modern if a little small junior suite lovely and big and massive bathroom.Room service very quick and a lovely bar for pre-dinner going out drinks.Returned to hotel 12am to a very loud function going on in hotel could hear every word DJ said and constant beat of the music. This was supposed to a quiet room!!.Reception offered to move us but we declined it was by now 1245am.Function eventually stopped at 1am.
Beds were lovely and comfortable and the pillows and did then sleep very well.
Breakfast next morning very good lovely hot buffet with additional items on request though there was no menu to indicate this. Serving staff attentive and friendly.
On check out discussed noise issues night before and deputy manager gave us 25% off the bill.Overall a lovely hotel and would def stay again but would go for executive/junior suite

Myself and my partner stayed at the hotel for the weekend and the hotel was lovely and clean and the bed was ultra comfortable and the food was nice as well.

The staff were really helpful and overall was a brilliant stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Only con was the parking situation, as even though you get a discount on NCP ticket, soon as you have stayed in the car park longer than 4 hours, you are charged the whole 24 hr rate so do be aware of this if you are planning to use your car during your stay.

Room Tip: The view of civic hall is great though be aware they charge at least 10 pound extra for this.

We stay in Cardiff quite regularly and are never disappointed with this hotel! It is a 3 min walk to the main town centre and St David's Centre. Lovely quiet rooms, comfy beds, great bathrooms and nice food! Only small downside is that the closest parking is Ncp across the road and is about £16 for 24hrs but you get a small discount from the hotel.
