Not a review for a stay here but living just down the road my wife and I come here quite a lot for the food. Staff are always welcoming and it has very good food for the price. Love the atmosphere here, just really toned down and chilled out.

Went here on a work night out in Cardiff. It's a reasonable pub quite close to the city centre. Good range of drinks available at a reasonable price. Didn't stay here so can't comment on the rooms. Staff were friendly and remembered our large drinks order which helped!

Me and my husband stayed at the Beverley Park Hotel 2 weeks ago as a weekend treat. Treat it was not. we paid £129.50 for 2 nights B&B. The breakfast was a Continental not English. we were in room 2 which was above the reception at the front of the hotel. In order to get to our room you had to climb 2 small sets of stairs and through a locked door. Everybody that stayed here had to come through this door to get to the rooms above. The door was a fire so so it was heavy and banged every time, day and late at night.
The bed had 3 wheels as one was missing so the bed slanted to one side. None of the bedding matched, the duvet just met at the edges of the bed and was like a tug of war to keep warm. The Sash windows were really old and paint was flaking off and you could hear every noise outside.
The bathroom was fairly big but wasn`t particularly clean. The window was again sash and really difficult to open as it was old and needed changing. The shower was not good as the water came out really slowly.
After a day out in Cardiff we returned to find the door open to our room. thankfully nothing had been taken. I believe the cleaner didn`t shut it proporly.
I will not be returning to this hotel again.

Room Tip: Not sure any of the rooms would be good. If you had one at the front of the hotel it was above the r...

Stayed near The Beverly Hotel recently and decided to spend the evening there, theres a good selection of beers & ales, and the food was not only very good but cheap as well, about £12.50 a head for 2 courses, well worth a visit

Ok it's a pub at the end of the day and as pubs go it's not bad. The food is pretty good and a fair price, the beers cold. But for some reason your not allowed in wearing work cloths even if their not that dirty which is bloody annoying when you get back from work late and haven't got time to shower before they stop serving. most of the customers were builders etc or drinkers so don't see the reason why.

As for the rooms they vary in size from very big to your having a laugh, room 1 & 2 are a very good size basic but ok. Rooms 5 6 7 were lets say cosy if your any bigger than 5ft tall and a foot wide having a shower is an issue. But in saying that they were clean with fresh bedding and towels so can't moan to much.

Breakfast was good all the usual bits and pieces plus full English.

In a nut shell it's ok for £40 a night including breakfast.

ok, lets take some other reviews into account.
yes its a pub, rooms were big, they were not filled with sumptous attire, the bed was a bit uncomfortable, the toilet had a little flush issue....but
it was not far away from town.....in fact the walk from the hotel to town via the park was beautiful. As always the welsh hospitallity is second to none. The owners were very friendly and spoke to you every time you came or went. The drink was cheap as was the food. It was also very nice.

All in all size it up. It was cheap, it was a pub( you are not going to get the Hilton but it has a bit of character. Would I stay again........yes.

Dear oh dear, what a hole this place is. Picture if you will Armageddon, then you will be close to visualising the Beverley in its finest form. A group of us stayed for the weekend as we were playing in a sports tournament and were hugely unimpressed with the Beverleys offerings. The rooms were quite spacious but contained old tatty furniture that was either dirty or in the case of our televisions, did not work. It was the damp riddled walls that were stained brown and stank to high heaven that immediately put me off. The windows were so rotten that large chunks of the wood were falling into the bath below causing risks of splinters! A quite terrible place to stay. Luckily we minimised our time here and explored Cardiff itself.
Finally the manager/ owner (??) needs to have a think about how she treats her customers. Her attitude towards customers was quite remarkable - rude and stubborn. I will certainly not be returning to the Beverley in a hurry.
