We stayed here as a group of five for a weekend in January. The location is fine and close to where we wanted to go to. Paul and Stuart(and Max) were welcoming and warm even though we arrived late on the Friday evening. They gave us a good introduction to Cardiff.
We were disappointed that the ensuite was not clean and the sink and toilet were both dirty after what we presumed were the last guests to leave it. As it was late, we didn't want to trouble our hosts and cleaned it up ourselves. I had initially thought that the shared bathroom was shared with the same party but this was not the case which wasn't clear when I made the booking. We didn't have breakfast the next day and waited for an hour for our hosts, only to then decide to head into town for breakfast as we were pretty hungry by then. Paul was apologetic that he had overslept and promised to refund us the cost of the breakfast. We haven't yet received a refund despite being in contact after the stay. It's not a big deal but slightly unprofessional. When we did have breakfast the next day it was very good. Overall, pleasant but could do better in regards to cleanliness as that is what you expect from a bnb.

We can only apologies again for your stay with us and that things were not done as they are normally. Personal circumstances were an issue but that is no excuse. We hope to impress you if you return to Cardiff.

We arrived wet, tired and running late to catch the last bus to St. Fagan's, and Stuart's warm smile and "no problem, here is your key, we'll bring your luggage up to your room" was exactly what we needed.

When we returned from the museum, the room was beautifully decorated, the bed was comfy and the dvd selection was immense. The next morning Paul made us an epic breakfast and Stuart even offered to mail our postcards when we left, as we were running late once again to catch our train. :P

If you are looking for a warm home away from home feeling, a varied tasty breakfast menu and great hosts, this is your place. And Max is the friendliest giant dog ever.

PS. In our entire week in Wales, this was the ONLY place where the sink faucets were combined and not one boiling hot and one freezing cold. Bonus points!

Our stay at Ty Rosa was great. Stuart and Paul were really friendly and the breakfast was amazing. It is a short way to the city center. If I am going back to Cardiff, I will definitely stay at the Ty Rosa again.

Stayed here after a trip to see a show at the Wales Millennium Centre. Can not fault the place one bit. The hosts are amazing and full of so much knowledge. They take the time to chat and be genuinely interested in anything you have to say, nothing is too much trouble. The room was well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Will be sure to stay here when we go to see our next show.

Great stay at this fantastically friendly B&B (yes remember people it's a B&B not a 5 star hotel!) ok the place may need a little sharpening up but it's homely, clean and my room was large and the bed wonderfully comfortable, no street noise even though it was on the main road. Both Breakfast and Dinner were fantastic. Excellent value for money and way better than a soul less travelodge. Stuart and Paul absolutely make this place, it's like staying with friends. I can't wait to go back!
