“Friendly service, food and little bland”
Reviewed 3 February 2014 via mobile

Visited after being at the rugby with friends. Service was friendly and fairly efficient. Two of us had the burritos and two had quesadillas. The food on the whole taste fine but eating Mexican food you expect spice but there wasn't any. Asked for chilli sauce to liven it up and then it was good. As per other reviews saw the snake tequila and decided to leave just in case we were offered some.

“Brilliant evening was had by all!”
Reviewed 27 January 2014

If you want fine dining, linen napkins and crystal glasses forget it. If you want atmosphere, delicious food, friendly service and value for money this if for you. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their meal but had to turn down a sweet, unheard of, as absolutely full Our waitress was most attentive and the owner/manager made us feel really welcome. As for the Snake Tequila ................I'll say no more. Thanks El Paso for a great night out.

“Go for the food, leave before the snake tequila!”
Reviewed 26 January 2014

Once you get past the rundown shop front and tired interior, this restaurant is a real find! The food is delicious and comes it very large portions! I had the ribs with house sauce and they tasted incredible. Everyone loved their meals and was totally stuffed after two courses. Service was friendly and we particularly loved the guy, possibly the owner, who was from Cornwall! Beware; he will offer you tequila that actually has a long dead snake in! We survived!

“Awful staff awful food sick all night avoid at all costs”
Reviewed 20 January 2014

I decided to go to this Mexican as a change. I ordered takeaway quesadilla and lobster tails!!! Whilst waiting for the food the kitchen staff we openly swearing dropped pots and plates and constantly using the microwave
hardly authentic .
After 40 mins of waiting I received the food ewwww wish I never. The lobster tails were dried up scampi the quesadilla was nothing at all like a quesadilla it was like cheese in a tray. I had one mouthful and nearly threw up. I was then up all night being sick. How this place got a 2 star rating is beyond me. Avoid at all cost .

“Authentic Mexican Restaurant with a unique atmosphere”
Reviewed 24 December 2013 via mobile

We visited with friends who already like the place.
It has an authentic feel which is deliberate although some reviews seem to criticise the style.
It is what it is, but you get wonderful mexican food and tons if it.
If you dont want a sombrero and original Mexican dishes then its not for you.
There are only a few proper mexican restaurants and this is one of them.
Have a chimichanga.
You just have to go more than once.
