“Valentines atmosphere NOT”
Reviewed 14 February 2014

After reading the great reviews about this restaurant I booked a table for valentines for my wife and I.
Quite simply poor !!
After being shown to our table we were given one menu and told that the others dissappeared ! After 10 mins I a the asked for another which were stacked at the bar .. the menu was basic but ok . There was very little atmosphere or ambience about the place and no effort made for valentines !
Yet happy enough to make a booking and take your money.
Meal on score 1-10 around 7
Service rubbish!
Ambience rubbish!
Great shame!
Never Again!

“Fantastic end to a great Weekend”
Reviewed 4 February 2014

Visited here after reading the reviews - was not disappointed!
My wife and I had been to watch the Welsh Rugby at the Millennium Stadium and decided not to eat in Cardiff, but head back towards our hotel in Newport.
We arrived after 9pm, Saturday - and the restaurant was still quite busy. We were quickly greeted, shown to a lovely table in the window and offered drinks.
We had a couple of glasses of "Italian Champagne" -Prosecco complete with slices of strawberry whilst we chose our meals. We had a mixed Bruschetta, King Prawns and Calamari for our starters which we both shared and enjoyed. My main course was an amazing dish of Wild Boar whilst my wife had "proper" Italian pizza - nice and thin pizza base like it should be.
For dessert we shared the Amaretto Cheesecake that we both thought was delicious.
The staff were attentive, friendly and very welcoming, The chef came over towards the end to check that we had enjoyed everything - a nice touch. He told us how he and his family had been there for while. So, if you're looking for an authentic Italian - family run restaurant whilst in the Newport area.....this is the place to go ! I am not the easiest of customers - but even I found it hard to find anything wrong with this great restaurant :)))
Di Iawn !!

“Friendly and warm with great Italian food”
Reviewed 30 January 2014

We visited Rossinis on a wet Monday night in January. It was an excellent experience. Authentic Italian cuisine served in a friendly but efficient fashion. Very good value. We will be returning.

“ITALIAN DELIGHT”
Reviewed 17 November 2013

Two friends and i went to this restaurant for lunch on a "fact finding mission" for future visits with friends. What a really pleasant experience. We were greeted by a very friendly lady who was greeting, managing the bar and waiting on tables, all with a very friendly and welcoming manner. My friends and i ate from the lunchtime flyer at £9 95 a head which was a choice of 2 courses from 3. Cannelloni and Salmon were cooked freshly for us and were delicious. We followed our Main with a very moorish Ammaretti Cheesecake. Lighter choices for lunch were available including Baguettes, Omlettes and this Restaurant also has a Takeaway. Drinks were inexpensive. Many thanks for the warm welcome, we will definitely return for lunch and will add this to our evening "get together" with other friends. Booking is very much advisable.
