We played the Roman Road for my brothers 18th. The four of us (all high handicappers 20+) throughly enjoyed the experience to play the 2nd course at this Ryder Cup venue. Whilst it was surprisingly wet underfoot, especially consideirng how high up it was, it did not spoil the experience and at £20 represented great value for money (We could have had it cheaper if we teed off earlier of later, so shop around to get the best deal on the Celtic Manor website). What was also pleasing was the fact that for a large reputable golf course, for which we are not members, we were treated very well and made to feel very welcome throughout. For example being greeted at the main entrance by a young lad who told us where to go.
Overall recommended and I can't wait to try and play the Twenty10 course.
