Avoid this place if you are looking for a nice relaxing evening. On approaching the pub we were met with loud music - this was in the car park as the doors to the place were wide open. The outside smoking area was full and the langugae (bad) was not what I would want to hear. If I had children with me I would have turned straight around. The pub looked "rough" and empty - obviously all the clientelle were outside.
I am afraid I cannot tell you what the meal was like as the whole atmosphere of the place was unwelcoming and scruffy. We decided to go elsewhere.

I had a pleasant surprise last night. We ( 8 in all.) were looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate my birthday and we found The Olde Oak Inn. Wow! What a find, because the meal was fantastic and the service was excellent. Needless to say we will be going there again and I have no hesitation in recomending it to anyone.

after being let down by our organized venue 3 hours before my in-laws 50th wedding annv dinner I rang the above in a panic .. spoke with Kirsty who calmly sorted every thing out in a matter of minutes 20 people no problem. when we arrived they even had decorated the tables Dino the chef came up trumps with a mouthwatering menu of soup steak and fresh veg and home made chips absolutely delicious topped it off with a selection of desserts to die for, all served by the lovely carmen & sam, all our guests loved the food and will be back as we will, we are just sorry we did not pick the olde oak in the first place Thanks to all xxx

Having eaten out for Sunday lunch at a varied range of restaurants in the past, we settled for The Olde Oak Inn for a family gathering for my fathers birthday.A table was reserved in advance with no trouble for 11 people. We were seated quickly and efficiently by friendly staff. Sunday lunch was a carvery with a choice of 3 meats, turkey, pork and chicken. A whole range of veg, stuffing balls, mini sausages, roast pots or roasties and the biggest Yorkshire pudding you ever saw! Gravy was delicious too.The food was also piping hot. The whole family enjoyed the meal and would definetly eat there again. All this for a very reasonable £8.50. Drinks were reasonably priced also. Clean and efficient place to try will definetly be going back.

We went here on the recommendation that the food was excellent. When we arrived the restaurant was empty and shortly after we sat down another couple arrived. There is a 'temporary' menu which didn't have loads of choice. We shared some starters but they were far too big and the greek salad had 'blue' cheese rather than feta. We were told there would be a wait for the main course as my husband had ordered paella which would need cooking from scratch. We didn't have to wait too long in the end but instead of Chirozo it had party sausages in it. I ordered the sirloin steak but it was very thin so wasn't cooked medium how I had asked and the mushrooms and chips were also very salty. Couldn't fault the value for money and my husband said it is one of the best Paella's he has had in an english pub.
