Gower Holiday Village

Spent a couple of here at number 55 which is privately owned. I booked through holiday Lettings and had direct contact with the owners, who could not have been more helpful. We had a lovely break. The chalet was very well equipped and spotlessly clean, very accessible and extremely comfortable. There is a shop which sells everything a pub next door serving food and a nice pool. The holiday was so relaxing and would recommend it to anyone wanting to see beautiful scenery, wild ponies, stunning beaches and have limited contact with the outside world this is the place for you. Just wonderful!

well located, very well kept facilities (not sure about for campers- facilities were minimal) but we stayed in a holiday home.
Has a nice warm, small pool and play area adjacent, good bar area and fish and chip shop onsite and a "spar" type shop.
The local beaches are all within a short drive- be aware you'll likely have no mobile coverage in the area unless youre on orange. The club house has wi fi but its secured so you have to ask at the bar.
very pleasant- will be returning :)

I stayed here with my husband and our two young boys as a last minute getaway for May bank holiday weekend. When we arrived, the chalet was absolutely immaculate and the smell of cleanliness hit us as soon as we walked through the door. The chalet is an ideal place to explore Gower from and has all of the amenities required to have an enjoyable stay. Paul was an absolute pleasure to deal with and we had a great time. If you are looking for an affordable getaway, you cannot go wrong with this chalet.

Having spent a second year at the Gower Holiday Village I thought it was a little gem last year but this year it was even better. The little shop has improved immensely and stocks all needs including delicious bread and fresh pastries. The fresh raspberries were more than scrumptious! The staff are most friendly and helpful. The fish and chip shop sells the best cod and chips I have. tasted in a long time. Next visit we will try the pub next door. Our chalet met all our needs and was very clean. We were in a lovely position with French doors opening onto a large grass area. The grandchildren loved it again this year. Swimming pool is great if you do not have weather warm and sunny enough for the fabulous nearby beaches - we were lucky and used the pool but were able to spend sunny hours on both Oxwich and Port Eynon beaches.

We stayed one night in the overflow camping field, it was truly horrendous - the field was littered with rubbish from drinking parties including used condoms!! The rubbish bins were literally spilling over and on top of one was a pair of male underpants covered in Faeces. The facilities were three manky portaloos and a cold tap in the field's corner. £15 we were charged for this - if it hadn't been late and we were totally self contained in our camper I would have left immediately.

We have just got back from staying at th village for a week, it was great! The cottage was clean and cosy and was well maintenanced. Only fault was there wasn't as much lo do in and around the gower as we hoped, but would love to return!
