We had a lovely few days here back in Easter with our children (aged 6 and 4).
The hotel was a great base for exploring the area.
It was our children's first stay in a hotel and they were made to feel very welcome.
In particular Lauren on reception was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for a week on a business trip. Hotel was nice and clean. Beer was on the expensive side, but that's to be expected from this sort of hotel. Breakfast was good, but the hash browns were the best I've ever had at a hotel!!! WIFI was ridiculously expensive. It would have cost me an extra £75 just to have WIFI!! I find it ridiculous in this day and age that WIFI is yet to be made available for free at all hotels!!!!

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was on the first floor and the stairs were in need of a good vacuum. There is no lift. Our room was clean but tired, definitely in need of some TLC and although I booked a double room we were given a single, but that's no big deal. I found the bed hard.
The shower was pathetic, we had to run around in the bath to get wet and the temperature control was hard to get just right. We had no toiletries in our room either. Our friends did.
Our friends room on the ground floor was much smarter and had obviously undergone a makeover. We were both charged the same which, I have to admit, I found a little unfair in view of the apparent differences.
The food was good. We ate in the bar in the evening. The food was served quickly, was hot and well presented. Breakfast too was fine.
With a little TLC this would be a really lovely hotel. I have given it 4 stars because no half stars. In Reality 3.5

Comfortable hotel within a stones throw of the sea front. The bed was very comfortable and the room was of sufficient size. The minibar was not stocked, you have to ask, but there was tea and coffree. Internet access was provided free of charge with my room rate/marriot card, but is otherwise chargeable. Free parking was available by providing reception with the car registration number. The hotel was a short walk to the city centre.

Stayed here for two nights in August, the hotel is in a great location,2mins away from the beach and local amenities. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. On the second day one of our room keys stopped working, one of the housekeeping attendants spotted us and offered to get the key changed and bring it up to the room!

The room was a great size and included a safe, iron, hairdryer,tv and fridge. Only thing that was an issue was the fee for the wifi, but overall was a great stay! Thank you Marriot Hotel for making our visit even more enjoyable!

Stayed for one night in August. Room was comfortable with nice view of the sea/beach. It was clean, spacious and beds were very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Pool was clean. Breakfast was nice - good selection and fresh. Parking very convenient. Hotel in great location too - 1 min walk to seafront, beach and marina. Few mins walk to centre of city/shops and to the leisure centre with its great swimming pool/slide.

Dropping one star as rooms did not have free WIFI - only in reception area was it free otherwise it was a daily charge. Hotel chains really need to sort this out.

Will stay again

We stayed for 3 nights at the Swansea Marriott during our visit to the National Eisteddfod at Llanelli. Our room overlooked the Swansea marina and the rate included breakfast and free wifi - unusually from Marriott which usually charges £6 an hour!

The hotel is situated within a 5 minute walk from the city centre, with direct access to the beach walkway and the marina. The National Waterfront Museum of Wales is also very close.

The hotel does show it's age, but this is more than made up by the very friendly and welcoming staff - in particular in the reception and bar. Breakfast was ok.
