“Premier Inn on waterfront”

Stayed at this new Premier Inn on the Waterfront of Swansea for two nights Friday & Saturday night, the hotel offers large modern rooms of a very high standard within 10 minutes walk of Swansea city centre i have stayed in several Premier Inn and have yet to be disappointed and i was not disappointed with this hotel also the all you can eat breakfast in Premier Inns offers excellent value and quality. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Fantastic stay here, all new, clean, bright, room had a lovely view over Marina which is stunning!
Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, we were greated with a big smile on arrival and the welcomes and greetings continued throughout a stay! I hope the management realise what a credit their staff are to them!
If you ran out of tea & coffee they happily gave you more sachets which was very welcome after a late night stroll around the marina where we got a bit cold and needed a few hot drinks to warm us up.
Breakfast time was superb, it was about £7.99 per person and i wondered if it would be worth it? Well it was more than worth it!! Clean tables, freshly cooked food at the service counter, cereals etc juice , tea and coffee etc as much as you liked. Hot breakfast was also included. I popped my head around the counter and asked the breakfast cook if I could have some freshly cooked eggs & mushrooms (only as the gent before me took the lot - cant blame him they looked scrummy!) The breakfast cook smiled warmly and cooked them straight away, a blessed welcome cos some of the other non premier inn hotels I have stayed you get a surly grunt as if it was to much trouble or get the eggs flung at you across the counter!!!!). The breakfast staff were attentive to you but not intrusive, they were not in your face and whisking the plates away before you had time to finish like some places that make you feel rushed!
Did not try dining in the Beefeater due to prior arrangements for town, but will next time, although the ambience through the window looked just as good as breakfast with yummy looking food

I have booked for early December ready for Winter Wonderland, as My only concern is with all the well deserved reviews the place will be fully booked with no room for me! A diamond place to stay!

Well done Waterfront, keep up the excellent work.

The only negative is the car park fees, I think premier should work on this if possible, maybe pay half the car park fee?? However even with the car park fees (about £5.50 per 24 hours) it is still worth every penny, as after all where else would you get 24 hour parking so close to city centre and Marina for such a low price?
Will always make this hotel my first port of call : )

We have stayed here before and chose to book again mainly on the strength of the excellent breakfasts.
We stayed with out kids in a 4 person room; room size is good, two of the beds were very comfortable, one of the singles less so.
The hotel is still very new, so in good repair. Staff are excellent.
We found the room a little too warm and couldn't set the ac below 19c. which is why I have marked down the sleep quality.

Have stayed in this hotel three times now twice with my partner and once with our 2 year old son. Hotel is lovely and clean and rooms are comfy. Staff are very friendly throughout the hotel. Breakfast is served until 10.30am which is a bonus if you want a lie in. Close enough to walk into town or for a stroll around the fab marina. Try and get a room with a view of the water rather than the carpark! Try the restaurant as the food was very tasty and cheap if you pay for the meal deal.

Room Tip: Check web for £29 rooms

As a business traveler you can't really get too excited about another premier inn, but this one is pretty good. Ok everything is new. My room had a great view across the Marina and was very well laid out with all hotel room mod cons ienflat screen easy access wifi etc.

The food was of good quality both... for dinner and breakfast.. Had a stroll and a couple of beers at the ice station a little way along the Marina.

Couple of small negatives...the car park is around the other side of the building not much fun in the rain lugging your bag and suit and it's chargeable at £5.50 for the night ( they don't mention it at booking you get an email after letting you know).

As Premier inns go it's a good one !

I had stopped for the first time at a Premier Inn at Pontypool and I was apprehensive that they might not keep up the standard we had found there . Needn’t have worried though. This is a new hotel and as such sparkles.
I couldn’t resist £29 per night for me and the spouse staying on the waterfront at Swansea. We needed 3 nights here and were so impressed.
Had had a long day, were feeling hungry, scruffy and generally knackered as we hauled our case through the door to be met by a great smile from a delightful young lady who was so helpful and welcoming. However don’t particularly like the self check ins. After a long day you just want pampering a bit.
We met someone in the lift who had apparently been moved out of our room 505 that day due to the noise of fans in the roof not allowing them to sleep. We were worried as we walked the corridor and could hear the humming sound. But in the room it was inaudible so we don’t know what they were complaining about unless it was the fan in the bathroom which never seems to switch off. However if the last in bed shuts the bathroom door no problem. We slept like logs!
The room was good and a reasonable size but had everything we needed. Bathroom with a shower combination very nice and spotlessly clean. OK toiletries (best take your own soap and shampoo though) and lovely big soft bath sheets, wonderful!
Nice little TV and a view across the water
All in all a great place to lay the head .
Breakfast at £7.99 was very good. What impresses with Premier Inn is they don’t skimp on quality. The yoghurts, marmalade, butter, juice, sauces etc are all premium brands like Duerrs, Heinz, Del Monte and they had wonderful coffee at Swansea.
More strength to your elbow Premier Inn you are just what ’rip off’ Britain needs
At Swansea unfortunately the car park situation is laughable. The parking company is happy to collect the fees but doesn’t offer much in return. One of the machines may be working but you have got to have the right coins. Pay by credit card or paper money and get change? No chance! Tarmac the rough, pot holed surface? Can’t afford that. Honestly the British Parking Association is a joke. Have plenty of pound coins ready because some slip thro and don’t forget some 50 pees as they don‘t give change of course. And an umbrella in case its raining because its about 50 yards to the door
