“Afternoon Tea in the Marina”
Reviewed 28 April 2013

Weavers is a great place for afternoon tea. The sandwiches are freshly made on request. The decor is Art Deco and the atmosphere is unhurried. Great place to go for a good catch up where you want to spend a bit of time. Although if in a hurry and staff know this. Service can be fast in efficient.

You can opt for the traditional afternoon tea served on a vintage cakestand with sandwiches, scones and cakes with thick cream and jam and a pot of tea. Alternaitvely you can opt for something more simple if you are on your lunch break.

There are a range of teas availble if you want something a bit different.

The staff are attentive and prepared to provide a variation on the menu if you want something that is not quite on the menu.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that it is almost there. The decor gives the feel of art deco and the crockery is vintage where appropriate. It just feels a bit budget. I am picky as I have afternoon tea at Harvey Nicks to compare it too. The price reflects this as prices are competitive and I will be going there again soon as the food is so good.

“Very pleasant”
Reviewed 12 March 2013

Stopped along for the high teas as a rare treat without the kids. It was very nice enjoyed watching the boats moving around and the owners were very polite. The kind of place we need to keep alive before it is too late.

“Wonderful afternoon tea”
Reviewed 9 March 2013

Booked a table for afternoon tea on Mother's Day. The set tea included the most yummy sandwiches - loads of filling and delicious bread. The sausage rolls were to die for with the most delicate hint of onion in the sausage filling, Wonderful. The second of a three tier stand included a selection of fresh homemade cakes - including devine carrot cake and yummy choc cake. We were also given a variety of small beautfully decorated fairy cakes. To end - yes there's more ,
gigantic homemade scones with lashings of jam and fresh cream.
We can't wait for our next visit - the hosts were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Excellent food and service.

“Well worth a leisurely visit”
Reviewed 9 March 2013

Was looking for somewhere to take my elderly mother and mother in law for Mother's Day where they could relax and not be overwhelmed by crowds and noise and came across Weaver's Tea Rooms. This is a very laid back, homely place so don't expect fast food take-away service. Instead expect to sit in comfortable surroundings overlooking Swansea Marina and be waited on with excellent service and very fresh home made food. We opted for the Mother's Day Special Afternoon Tea menu which was £8.99 per person. This included freshly made sandwiches, warm home made sausage roll, a wonderful variety of cakes and a warm scone with jam and cream and tea/coffee. Everything was served on real china crockery and 3 tier cake stands. There are other menu options available e.g jacket potatoes, soup etc.The staff were wonderfully attentive without being invasive.
We were a party of 5 ladies varying in age from 25 - 90 and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed it. As mentioned before do not expect fast food purely because everything is made completely to order to ensure freshness. There is obvious pride in what they offer as well they might. A lovely afternoon out and luckily the weather to go with it!

“Cute and quaint - and service unbeatable.”

The owners of this place just want to help you in every way possible. When we visited they were about to close, but stayed open especially for us. The food is excellent and great value for money, and they sell Joe's ice cream which is always a plus! Also has a nice view of the marina outside, so is lovely in sunny weather. Would definitely recommend.
