The bedrooms at the Ibis in Swansea are very good for the price, although, on this occasion, the heating was not very effective. The lounge area, however, is rather souless and uncomfortable but clean

We stayed at the Ibis, Swansea for 2 nights recently and found it very comfortable and the staff very helpful. We had a meal in the restaurant on the Friday evening and were the only ones eating but the foot was good and served with a smile by the waitress and we had a really good bottle of Australian Shiraz/Cabernet which was excellent value at £14.75p. The beds in the hotel were excellent and very comfortable and there was free parking for customers. We booked the hotel for its proximity to the park & ride which took all of 2 mins to drive to and about another 15 mins to get into Swansea city centre so all-in-all excellent for our purpose of Christmas shopping.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back of hotel which was alongside the main road - a little noisy but not too ba...

After staying in the 'Arches Hotel' in Swansea this hotel seemed like the 'Ritz' to us; If you ever come across the Arches avoid at all costs!
We paid £20 each for 3 Double rooms which was far cheaper than the Travelodge who wanted £37 for one night!
The Staff on reception were very friendly we had a good laugh with them and they arranged our taxi for our night out.
The rooms were quite big, very clean and comfortable- Really could not fault it for the price.
Views from the rooms aren't the best as we were facing a car dealership and Mcdonalds but we thats not what we were there for.
Taxi into town was cheap enough about a fiver, McDonalds opposite which is 24 hour so good if your hungry.
For Breakfast we had the buffet breakfast downstaires, seemed a bit pricey at £7.95 but it had quite a bit of variety and didn't taste to bad either.
Would definatley recommend and stay again; If your just after somwhere clean to lay your head down this is Ideal.
