First of all, note this is not a four star hotel. It is a guesthouse. The guesthouse is in a neighborhood that has plenty of restaurants and small stores around. There is a beautiful park nearby that is nice for strolling, bringing the kids, having a rest, or jogging. We had the Egyptian room at the Mirador. It was clean with a big bed, couch, small desk, tv, mini fridge, tea kettle, lots of local pamphlets and a map of Swansea. A window faces out to the residential street of terraced homes. There is a standing floor fan in case it gets warm (no overhead fan). There was loads of coffee, tea, and liquid creamer in the room. Even hot chocolate, which my son enjoyed. Breakfast was excellent and even had veggie sausages on the menu! Breakfast can be ordered as large or small as you want it-if you want 4 eggs, 4 slices of bacon, and 4 pieces of toast, you can. Phil and Jeanette were extremely helpful. I had to send a duffel bag back to the USA. Pick up couldn't happen until the day I left and was scheduled for anytime between 9-6. Phil and Jeanette agreed to make sure they were there so the bag could be picked up. They also printed out loads of paperwork that was needed to send the bag back. Just shows how helpful they are. One note-the stairs in the interior are steep (as they are in all the terraced homes I've ever been in); mobility challenged people should probably request the room on the ground floor.

Exceptional service by Phil and Janette. We stayed there for one night on Friday 23rd May.We were greeted so warmly and shown to our lovely Egyptian themed room! Really impressive.Phil was indeed a great host and we had a fabulous breakfast on the Saturday morning. We will without hesitation be back soon.
Also to note that the family dog Missy is fabulous!

Stayed Sunday evening. great welcome, spotlessly clean, we took the Egyptian theme and loved the room. Custom breakfast of choice and top quality through and through.

Selection of nice Restaurants within walking distance.

Room Tip: Just enjoy, doubt you will do better elsewhere given the price and quality.

I stayed at this amazing town house for 2 nights, I have so many great things to say about my stay, first I was offered a FREE upgrade (to the french room, which was lovely) second Janette was very kind and allowed my dog to stay out on the patio area & third Phil moved his car for me upon arrival so I could park near the house. The breakfast was really well cooked & tasty, the house is decorated amazingly, also a great DVD selection to choose from. My room was lovely & clean, also plenty of towels & toiletries. The house is in a great location, so close to the beach & local pubs/restaurants & a nice park is just round the corner too. Phil & Janette are really lovely people and make you feel so much at home, I really enjoyed my stay & would recommend it to everybody!!

Room Tip: All the rooms so amazing, but the French room has a patio area which is great for enjoying the eveni...

We had a short, perfect stay here last week. The themed room was good fun and importantly it was underpinned by being spotlessly clean, well furnished (including a mini fridge) and many more accessories than a hotel provides. Breakfast was beautiful and cooked to your exact order. All these excellent things were surpassed by the warm welcome, cheerful and attentive ambience that Philip and Jeanette have created. It felt like we were staying with good friends even though we had only just met. Thank you both, hope to visit again soon. Neil and Suzi

I booked the oriental suite as a surprise for my wife's birthday. Phil was very helpful with the booking and any special arrangements that I made. When I arrived everything was explained to me and I was very impressed with the theme of the room. All the deco in the room was tasteful and I was surprised with the size of the space. My wife loved the room as it was different to places we have stayed before. As the owners were so nice it made the whole expereience even better we felt very welcome and the breakfast was lovely. The hotel was very clean and comfortable we will definitely be back to try a different room.
