We arrived late afternoon on Monday Phil and Janette made us very welcome, our visit was cut short by a family emergency, so we had to go home the next day, Phil and Janette was so thoughtful they offered a refund straight away, We hope to return when things improve.

This is our third visit to The Mirador... and I have to say that we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Swansea!... Both Phil and Jeanette are welcoming, friendly and nothing is to much... The place is absolutely amazing, clean, well presented and a delight to stay in. It's our intention to 'travel the world' and stay in each room!... Highly recommended and the breakfast is simply..... Divine!... Roll on our next visit!

I cannot fault this lovely little gem of a hotel. We arrived 2 hours after check in and Phil rang us to check we were ok and stayed up to greet us and show us our room.
We stayed in the Egyptian room and it was lovely, right at the top of the property with a huge bathroom and it was spotlessly clean.

Breakfast was lovely home cooked, and tasted great! (so much choice) Phil chatted to us and told us the great places to visit in the area.

I will defiantly be visiting this lovely little treasure again!

Room Tip: the egyptian room is in the roof of the house so if your are not used to it the rain may wake you in...

My husband & I stayed at the Mirador Boutique Town House in Swansea for 4 days. Phil & Jeanette the owners have a lovely quirky different property which makes a lovely change from your average hotel. WE stayed in the Oriental suite at the top of the property which was lovely. THe breakfast is plentyfull and well prepared fresh. A good base for exploring the beautiful Gower Peninsular. Thankyou Phil & Janette. !

Room Tip: The oriental suite at the top of the house was very quiet and private. Different to what you usually...

We booked two rooms for an overnight stay for our daughter's graduation. The hotel was easy to find and there was parking on the street, the owner even moved his car to make it easier for us to park! The hosts couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming, we were shown to our rooms where all the facilities were explained to us and they were also able to offer excellent advice on where to go for a meal and drinks. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Breakfast in the morning was great with a good variety of fruit juices, cereals, yoghurts and a hearty cooked breakfast.

Certainly worth a visit

We stopped at the Mirador for one night on the way home to break a long journey up. It was a toss-up between a faceless chain hotel or for only a few pounds more you could stay in one of the most fun themed guest houses you could ever wish to visit. I feel we fell very lucky finding this little gem with very attentive hosts. Phil was very welcoming and full of information about the local amenities and where to eat. He is very outgoing and definitely a 'front of house' person who loves his gadgets :) His lovely wife cooked the most amazing breakfast with a tremendous choice of fruit, yoghurt, cereal, juices and that was before you got to the cooked breakfast you had chosen the night before. You definitely will not starve...

We stopped in Room 2 which was the Venetian theme. The attention to detail is truly amazing. Everywhere you look there is something else to catch your eyes and they have been very clever to give this room lots of levels of lighting. It is on the bottom floor and there is a small window which is divided horizontally between the main room and the bathroom so here is little natural light. This however gives it a very romantic feel and perfect for the choice of theme. There is the most well stocked condiments tray I have ever come across with oodles of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water, biscuits and sweeties and masses of milk, very generous indeed.

The are it is situated is in the Uplands which is a small stretch of bars and restaurants. We were there on a very busy Friday night and it was just buzzing with a great vibe.

I would not hesitate to come back here if I am in the area again. This is a fabulous place with so much character and fun and the attention to detail is magnificent.

Instantly made to feel comfortable on arrival, cosy rooms with a great design. Phil gave a great insight on the local restaurants and attractions. The variety of dvds was a nice addition. As for breakfast, possibly the best I have had- the amount of choice is fantastic. Only downside/improvements I can think of is maybe an addition of a fan on bottom floor room (number 2) due to there only being a very small window in bathroom and entering room was like a sauna. Also the ensuite bathroom felt like the whole building could hear you in it as it was plastic walled (I think). Would defiantly be returning in future visits to swansea, would highly recommend.
