Haven't been in the Victoria Square Starbucks for a while but popped in and to be honest drank my coffee and got out as quickly as possible. I understand refurbs but this used to be a nice place to relax with a couple of sofas and soft seats but it feels like a school dinnerhall now and not relaxing. Coffee as always is passable but lots of places do passable confident and in seating a lot more comfortable

Had a great stop for a delicious hot chocolate. Perfect spot to get away from the freezing winter cold. It's lovely that they have special Christmas time beverages.

Coffee is great. Avoid the food, my scone was as hard as the road. I took it back and got a refund no problem. Friendly staff. Call in for a good coffee.

When you go to a Starbucks you know what to expect. It is not in the same league as the many other coffee bars, bistros etc along Botanic Avenue each having their own distinct appeal and competing quite successfully judging by the full tables and even queues for service at lunchtime. This branch does a steady trade becaue of location and its aficionados. Not the best of the Starbucks - a narrow ground floor with a cramped feeling although there is an upstairs area and staff not as polished and welcoming as you might find in other branches.

Starbucks just seems to be a notch above the rest. Great place to meet and relax with a coffee. Also great for take aways back to the office on the weekly coffee run. Staff are friendly and make it to your exact specification - eg. triple shot skinny latte with 1 pump of caramel and no foam. Its a mouthful i know but they manage to pull it off every time. Always happy with a starbucks :)
