“Great location and value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2013

Friendly welcome and quick check-in. Upgraded to apartment with study which gave a useful desk area (tho we didnt use). Apartment was at rear of building, which was very quiet at night and nice view of the hills (#16). Apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Two bathrooms were useful for the family, and shower in the en-suite partcularly good.
Perfect location - close to city centre (walkable if you have the time), on bus route and in a nice area with several decent eating places within a few minutes walk. Tesco supermarket is also right next door. Lisburn Road can be busy, so the underground, secure parking is really useful. All in all we thought it was good value - though would book directly with Cordia next time. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and will stay again when in Belfast.

Very disappointed in standard of cleaning in kitchen, first thing I had to do on arriving was clean greasy finger marks of cupboard doors fridge and microwave. Also glass on patio door was disgusting and doors in bathroom were not cleaned. Would take so little effort to improve this standard of cleaning

On arriving at the Cordia Appartments we were greeted with a warm welcome. I my sister, brother in law and daughter had booked a two room appartment. The en-suit room was a very good size but the other room I shared with my daughter you could not swing a cat in. The living area including kitchen was a great size with amenities like dishwasher etc. but if you wanted to cook a three course meal you would have a lot of bother, two pots, plasstic bowel, cheese grater had to go to reception to ask for a fish slice to cook eggs luckily we ate out. The interior and furnishings must have been nice when first done, I had wallpaper coming off my bedroom wall, table lamp with bashed lampshade and if I was the owner I would have sacked the cleaner all a bit grubby. As for the location ok it was on a busy rd which was not a problem, but to me a great distance to the town centre. Spent more on taxis than gifts to take home. At departure we asked if we could leave out luggage and pick it up later that was not a problem. When we arrived to pick up the luggage a good few hours later we were shown and told that the cleaner had found this broken lamp in one of our bedrooms, we did not break the lamp and were appalled to think we were getting accused of this . Would I go back or recommend never.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cordia Apartments for four nights, it was situated in the perfect location allowing us to be able to walk or get a taxi very easily, or a bus if we had so wished. We certainly got our money's worth staying here, we booked a double room, which ended up with two double rooms, an en-suite, a bathroom and a kitchen/dining/living room room. Plenty of space and would definitely stay here again if we were to be in the area.

The only downsides I have are the fact it has become slightly scruffy with regular use which I can understand it is hard to upkeep, for instances the kitchen area had a tiled floor and under the fridge/freezer there was broken chunks out of the tiles where things have probably fallen out of the fridge/freezer, I would have liked to have seen it repaired but it didn't affect our stay. The kitchen is very basic, my partner decided to have a cooked breakfast but there wasn't even a fish slice so he had to use a spatula, which appeared to be the only kitchen utensil.

All in all we had a great time, thank you :)

Room Tip: It may be a bit noisy at the front but to be honest you get used with it and it didn't bother us...

Dear Shonz_1290,

Thank you for taking the time to share comments about your recent stay with us. I'm glad to hear that you were able to take advantage of our location to explore the city and we aim to offer exceptional value for money for a flexible and high quality central accommodation.

We work very hard to ensure our facilities and service are superior and we strive to be the best Apartments around. It sounds like we fell below your expectations in terms of kitchen utensils and Maintenance Issues. I have spoken to housekeeping team about the issue and they will be taking extra measures to assure that it does not happen in the future and We are also planning a major maintenance work to be carried in the near future to repairs those crack tiles please bare with us! Constructive criticism only helps us to improve our service and is very much welcomed.

It's our goal to retain you as satisfied customer and we hope to see you some time again in future.

Kind Regards

I stayed there 4 nights and everything I needed was there. The staff are professional and very friendly. There are great restaurants and shops nearby. The location is ver convenient. Belfast city center is only a few minutes away by bus. The apartment has a great kitchen with all necessary cook wear dishwasher, excellent laundry machine and a nice bathroom.

Good place to stay. stayed for a night out in Belfast and found the apartment very clean and excellent for a night out with a group of friends. Only downside is that it is situated on the Lisburn road which can be busy from early in the morning but apart from that enjoyed my stay and would definitely use again.

Ten members of my family stayed with Cordia Apartments in two apartments for the weekend. We requested that the two apartments be beside each other, both when making the booking online and again verbally closer to the actual date of our stay, but this was not fulfilled which was very disappointing.

The photographs give the apartments a very luxurious appearance, but in fact the fixtures and fittings are actually quite low spec; the crockery you can see laid out on the table is not what you are provided with, and in one apartment the fitted fridge-freezer had been removed and a free-standing unit placed alongside it.

The actual crockery and utensils provided were very limited, particularly given that up to 6 people can stay in the apartments at any one time. Even with our party only staying for a weekend it made cooking and preparing food more difficult (there is no bread knife, for example); if we were staying for a week self-catering there would have been a need to complain.

While there is indeed one reasonably spacious bedroom with an en suite, the second bedroom is very small and lacks floor space. There is also a lack of mirrors in the apartments, particularly full-length mirrors.

The fire doors are extremely noisy when they slam shut when going between rooms, which is highly disruptive.

The secure parking available is excellent, as is the convenience of having a Tesco next door. The location in general is excellent. In spite of this, we regret choosing to stay at Cordia Serviced Apartments. There are terms and conditions that aren't made available online but which you are required to agree to upon arrival and signing the rental agreement; when booking you would do well to ask for any additional terms you should be made aware of.
