“Excellent Value in a very central location”
Reviewed 20 August 2012

Hotel was perfectly placed for exploring Belfast. Staff were very friendly and the place did not feel like a budget hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were large (a little over-heated). My only complaint was that the recommended parking was very expensive. Look for cheaper parking before you go and dont park at St. Annes. We paid £30 for 3 days yet we could see signs all over Belfast for a weeks parking for £25!

Fantastic welcome from the staff, room clean and got to check in slightly early. Staff asked what our plans where and had information on pride events that day. The camembert cheese in the bar area is one of the nicest snacks I have ever had. Brilliant!

Great location. Bang in the middle of Cathedral Quarter on the same street as The Merchant Hotel with fantastic restaurants and bars nearby. Rooms are clean and basic with a large shower, no bath. Not a hotel to stay in and relax at, more drop your bags off, shop, change go out and have a night on the town. You will not find a cheaper hotel within such a great location.

Room Tip: Make sure you leave any guests names at reception as they will not allow you upstairs without a key...

Excellent central location and everything within walking distance. We had a family room, and it was really clean and had loads of space for the 3 of us. Staff very friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome.

We managed to get our room on one of the £19 per night email deals, so that helped with the cost of the weekend.

Would definately recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 3rd floor and at the front of the building, and we weren't disturbed in the...

Very central location everything within walking distance, exceptionally clean rooms but how do you sleep!! We stayed Friday to Sunday, the hotel was fully booked and both the noise of guests returning after a late night 3.00am,conversing in corridors etc. or the crowds outside conversing at the top of their voices while.. waiting for taxis does not guarantee a nights sleep.I came home for a rest.

Room Tip: ask reception when checking in about noise levels/there are a lot of late night establishments in cl...

Myself, my hubby & our 3 kids (1 in cot) stayed for 1 Sunday night and thought it was great. We got a great room deal on the internet (£19) which helped but everything about our stay was really good. The location is excellent, short walk to shops, restaurants etc, only thing is parking isn't free although we parked on the road and it was free after a certain time, but we had to put a ticket on the car the next morning at 8am! The room was spacious enough for all of us, although i did ask if they have any bigger rooms for when our toddler gets bigger and will need a bed but they said they cannot have 5 in the 1 room, except when 1 is in a cot, which will be a real nuisance in a year or so as we won't be able to stay. They don't have interconnecting rooms either. The breakfast was one of the best we've had in a hotel in ages, good quality food and very reasonable. Staff were helpful and the place was clean. There was some noise internally at night with people talking on the corridors, door slamming etc & the windows could be better soundproofed, but other than that it was all fab! Definitely recommend.
