This is a smart, clean, tidy hotel, about 15 minutes' walk from the centre of Belfast, but very convenient for the busy Botanic Avenue, so a good base if you're on a short break, and convenient to return to, to recharge your batteries, before going out in the evening. The rooms are bright and welcoming, and the staff happy and friendly (actually a description that we found fits most people in Belfast). There is free wifi and free left luggage, so the 11am checkout time is not a problem if you have an evening flight.

Room Tip: Suspect all rooms were created equal, so no need to specify.

Stayed at the Ibis, university street,Belfast when attending a wedding in Belfast. Arrived at 11 am though the booking in time was 2 pm . No problems booking in early. The duty manager (Thomas) was exceptionally helpful. He arranged a sightseeing tour through McCombs coaches which was fantastic. All the staff were very friendly and made our stay memorable. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was very good and reasonably priced.all in all a fantastic experience.. I will most certainly stay here when I come to Belfast again

Had a stop off night in Belfast on the way to see Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-Reed and Bushmills from Dublin while checking out some of Belfast. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the city centre (about 20 by foot) in a nice location close to Queens University.

Our stay got off the perfect start with a warm and friendly welcome from Damien at the reception. The highlight of our stay was the fantastic service and friendliness of all the staff. All of our interactions with staff from check in to check out were pleasant and hassle free.

The rooms were a good size. Nice big comfortable bed, laminate flooring, good wardrobe and shelving space, a tv, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities, and en-suite bathroom. Loved the spacious shower which had great water pressure and no shortage of hot water. The room itself was very clean and well lit. Our window (room 308) overlooked the adjacent church and we had no issues with noise. The only issue we had during the stay was that the hair dryer cut out but after a quick call to reception we had a new one within a couple of minutes.

We decided to eat in the hotel and were surprised with the wide selection on offer in the comfortable restaurant area. The staff were really nice and helpful. My girlfriend ordered the chicken curry and asked for extra naan bread rather than rice. The staff were happy to oblige. Unfortunately they discovered they had run out of naan bread, however Joanne was kind enough to offer her own gluten free pita breads instead and we received an extra portion of chips too. We felt that this went above and beyond! The food which came in good time was all very tasty.

We also had the buffet breakfast the next morning which was served from 6:30 to 10:30 for the cooked breakfast and until 12 for the continental. Food was nice again and we could eat all we wanted from a wide ranging buffet.

Room Tip: We found our room (308) overlooking the church to be peaceful. Perhaps better views are available.

The hotel is located closely to Botanic train station, in a lively area with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, brasseries and bars. It is priced much lower when compared to other hotels of similar rating. The place is safe and clean. The rooms may look a bit spartan, and the bathroom resembles those on board of a ship, but no one goes to another town to spend a day in the hotel room. Most importantly, it is clean and bed is very comfortable.
The staff were great; kind and very helpful.
As I am not a morning eater, I did not ask for the breakfast.

Room Tip: My room was facing the church and it was very quiet.

There are no words good enough for my expression of just how warm, friendly, comfortable, and efficient this little gem of a hotel is. The hotel manager Thomas is an absolute one of a kind service representative. He is Knowledgeable and friendly from the moment you walk through the front door. A "Jack of all trades" because he even doubled between jumping from the front desk to making me a late night meal that could have been presented with pride at any five star restaurant. If you ever visit the wonderful friendly city of Belfast, then this is the reasonably priced place to stay. Ideally located, and really comfortable. Last but not least, the breakfast buffet was also very satisfying. Look no further for a place to stay in Belfast when you are there. Friendly regards from Michael.
