A very positive experience. Room was clean, cool, and a lot quieter than many I have stayed in at city-center hotels. The staff, especially Thomas on the front desk, were friendly and helpful. I came in quite bedraggled after cycling to Belfast from the Antrim coast through torrential rain, and they patiently waited whilst I got my bags off the bicycle and them helped me put in a room at the back of the hotel out of the weather.
I do have one (really quite) minor bugbear in terms of the design of the rooms - in common I seem to remember with all Ibis hotels - is that there is no plug socket within reach of the bed, which is frustrating if you want to charge a device whilst using it in bed or need to charge your phone overnight and use it as an alarm.
The location is really good - in a reasonably quiet road, but right near all the attractions of the university area of the city (including eg the Ulster museum), and only say 15-20 minutes walk the commercial center of the city.
