Owner description: Belfast black taxi tours: new game of thrones seasons 1-6 /causeway full day tours. As the official belfast attractions we have been offering our award winning tours for over 15 years. Even though our beautiful city is now almost unrecognisable from the bomb ravaged city of over 35 years ago, we feel it is important to help everyone understand what life in belfast was like during the dark years of ‘the troubles.’ By taking you on a tour of the now world famous hotspots, such as the republican(ira) murals of the falls road and the protestant(u.f.f &u.v.f) murals of the shankill road and by the use of important evidence such as newspapers, photos, videos and even plastic bullets we hope to paint a vivid picture of what life was like for the everyday belfast resident. You will travel in style through the back streets of our city in an old vintage london black taxi cab as our guides, who all lived through the troubles, help you understand over 800 years of british / irish political history. We offer full day giants causeway & game of thrones from your cruise ship/hotels etc.

“An insight into Belfasts recent history”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

We took this tour (The Troubles) with Dermott on Monday the 7th of July and really enjoyed it.
Dermott was knowledgeable and friendly and knew Belfast like the back of his hand.
As a lover of social history it was a fascinating insight into the not too distant history of a beautiful city and a look at the difficulties it still faces today.
P.S. Dermott DID give us the business cards ;-)

“Wonderful tours”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

We took two tours--"Political" and "Belfast City". Gerard was our guide and he is extremely knowledgeable about the city and the "troubles". He has pictures, newspaper articles and stories. He even gave us some book titles, movie titles and books on the topics we were most interested in. We thought the presentation was balanced and fair to all sides. He showed us many murals all over town and took pictures of us in a number of places and emailed them to us. Gerard was to drive us to a town where my ancestors are buried and his cab broke down on the way. He called Paddy and we were on our way again in 30 minutes! We were so grateful to Paddy for coming on such short notice and completing our quest! He is also extremely knowledgeable and added another dimension to our time in NI. We highly recommend this company and its guides!

“A real eye opener”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

10 us arranged this tour for a team weekend in Belfast not knowing what to expect. the drivers Dermot and Paddy were so knowledgable and friendly that they made the tour one of the highlights of our visit to Belfast. The political tour gave us a great insight into the troubles, the reasons behind the troubles and the current political siituation as well as the usual murals and walls. Even the walk around a Shankhill Road Housing Estate was done is such a professional way, that you knew you were in safe hands. Have to admit I've spent time in Ni, but now my knowledge of the troubles has increased 10 fold thanks to Paddy & Dermot, a superb tour and highly recommended.

PS
Sorry Paddy, for the wife who referred to Bobby Sands as a she ! Quite embarrassing !
