The first time we visited Horatio Todds we went with my family, 3 children and 2 adults in total for a Saturday lunch, my husband and myself both ordered a simple burger, the children ordered chicken. We received the burger, very nicely presented on a wooden plate, but unfortunately both our burgers were burn't, we attempted to to eat them, both saying nothing to start with, but soon realised this was not they way it should be, the horrible taste was with us for hours. We were silly, but did not want to say anything, so gave it a by ball.
As we are from the local area we gave them a second chance, unfortunately this time was no better, a chicken sandwich that was dried up and tasted awful, with no dressing on the salad, a basic I would have thought.
It would be lovely to have a local pub that served food, but unfortunately this is not the place to go. We will never be back, have tried the others locally and so much better.

Been here quite a few times with family and also clients. The bar side of the space is a great bar, busy, noisy, comfortable, and good pub grub. The restaurant side of the space is a mediocre restaurant, noisy, service is pleasant but very slow and the food is just good pub grub. Friday and Saturday nights the place is bunged and noisy. Just OK there are better restaurant options across the street and along the street if you want a quiet meal. I prefer to eat somewhere else and drink here.

We went here on boxing day for our Christmas dinner. First of all I want to say that it was very cold in there. There seamed to be air conditioning on instead of heating, and we had to sit with our coats on throughout our meal. We were sat right next to a waitress station which was so annoying because they were standing there doing there paperwork right next to our table. Felt like they were watching us chew! The meal was OK but a bit dissapointing saying it was supposed to be a special Christmas dinner. The Yorkshire pudding was like an aunt Bessie's, the veg dish was between three adults and was a mean portion for three. The dessert menu was poor and very small portions. Overall not good value for money .Won't go back.

Went for Sunday dinner recently. Table booked for 5pm. We were seated pretty quickly but everything else took a long time - ordering, drinks, waiting on bill. 2.5 hours to serve a table of four a 3 course meal seems excessive. Seemed to be a lot of confusion among staff as to what was 'off' menu on the day. The food was fairly average - chicken wings were tiny and very little to them. My wife ordered a chicken main which had to be returned as it was pink on the inside. The manageress couldn't have been more apologetic and dealt with every situation very professionally (we noticed a few tables having problems). We were offered a discount and comp drink. The waiting staff were also good. Anyone can have an off day so will maybe give it another try, but they'd really need to sort out whatever issues they were having when we visited.

As part of a Christmas present, the wife and I were treated to an evening out at Horatio Todd's in Ballyhackamore.
Never having been there we were unsure what to expect.
On arrival the place was busy, warm and had an attractive layout. We were shown directly to our table although we could have ha a drink in the lounge bar first if we had preferred.
Service was friendly and quick, seats and table were very comfortable and it had a very warm atmosphere.
Several menus to choose from all with a decent selection of foods.
Food was served quickly and was excellent, we left nothing!
Any downsides? A few minor ones around table service with glasses coming and going at the wrong times, some wine spilt and I think a wrong drinks order or coffees mixed up or something like that.
In fairness, all sorted quickly and with a smile. Stuff happens.
Oh, being a bit tight I do object to paying almost £20 for a bottle of wine that cost £5 down the street. I would have thought that £12-15 would have been ample for a house wine. But that's just me.
Anyway, We would certainly consider going there again for a meal. It was a very nice evening out.
