Description: Villa Italia is a family run pizzeria restaurant established in 1988 in the heart of South Belfast, just a stones throw from Queen's University. A listed Georgian building, its success as one of Belfast's most popular eateries with over 300 seats continues to grow and is obvious by the queues which form on a regular basis outside the door every weekend - rain, hail or snow! Inside you can enjoy the rustic Italian charm of our interiors; picturesque murals, terracotta tiles, hanging grapevines, the subtle smell of garlic in the air and with Italian speaking waiters amongst our staff, one cannot help but feel transported to La Bella Italia itself!

We absolutely love Villa Italia, we always visit when we come back to Northern Ireland.

Our last trip, in August 2015, was particularly special- it was our wedding night and we invited our guests to Villa Italia for a relaxing evening meal.

Before deciding to have our meal there, we contacted the owner Tony and he was very supportive- we were even able to design our own set menu for our guests. These were printed out without prices so that we could cover the cost without guests trying to give us money.

On the night, the staff were absolutely fantastic and the food was wonderful. My mother in law said it was the best sea bass she ever had. The food and service even managed to change the opinion of family members who don't normally like to eat Italian food. The majority of us had 3 courses ranging from pastas to pizzas to steaks and fish- everyone loved it!

We can't thank the Villa Italia team enough for making our special day end in the best possible way- we can't wait to come back!

Vegetables very hard and tasteless, but the strangest thing was the fries were like chip shop chips?? (Am convinced they sent out for them!) Have been to this restaurant several times before and am usually very satisfied. Sadly a very disappointing experience this time.

Visited Villa Italia on Sunday the 17th. As we were a large party we all arrived at different times. We were kindly seated at the bar while we waited. Not long after being taken to our table our lovely waitress began taking our orders. All 25 of our party were delighted with both starters and mains. The lasagna was full of rich flavor. In conclusion i would defiantly recommend Villa Italia to everyone. Great service and excellent food. Cant wait to go back for more!

I visited here as part of a large group. We were situated in the "penthouse" upstairs, and our group was scattered over two tables.
The service was a bit unhinged, with the first table getting served etc first, and the second table waiting for their food. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly, but they did not seem to work together as a team.
Our table was booked for 6.30, and it was after 10pm by the time we had finished our food. This was ok for us, as we were all going home, but if we had been going out to the theatre etc after, it would have been an hindrance. The waitress had to come round our table twice to take our pudding orders, and she seemed confused. However, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, the food was beautiful, and the servers friendly.
This was not my first visit, and definitely not my last :-)
