“A tired branch of Jurys”
Reviewed 23 August 2014 via mobile

Stayed for a night on business. Basically can't really fault the place as such - the lady on reception was friendly and gave me the information I needed and breakfast was pretty much standard Jurys. Just felt the whole place seemed rather tired - for example, my room has been partially upgraded but the bathroom looked well used. For one night fine but I get the feeling there must be better places.

Just back from a week staying here for business. I have to say, should i need to go back I will be staying elsewhere. The first room I was given was basic and functional but next to the lift shaft, which was clear to hear and i knew would keep me awake. When I asked to be moved reception said they would get back to me shortly but never did. Next morning I asked to be moved again after a poor nights sleep and the Duty Manager was apologetic. Was moved to a nicer room on the same floor. Again, basic and functional but both could have done with a deep clean.

There are limited facilities, just a bar and restaurant and even irons aren't available in room, but the location is great. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is self service and pretty good. Choice from full english, cereals, fruit, breads etc. Wifi wasnt working when I arrived. No aircon.

Ideal for a short cheap stay but not for business.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the lifts

Arrived for a two night stay on a Sunday, about 11am but we knew our check-in wasn't until 2pm so we had a walk around. The hotel is close to a lot of shops and a few pubs etc., but nearly all the shops were closed until later in the day. When we came back to check-in the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to take a couple of taxis due to the weather but there is a complimentary taxi phone in reception.
Room was very clean, if a bit basic but it was fine for us. The only problem was being woken by delivery trucks very early in the morning.
The first afternoon we stayed in the bar where the staff obligingly put on a Gaelic football match we wanted to see (Mayo won!)
The Titanic Experience is a must when you're in Belfast.
We had a lovely stay and will be back, Jurys will be top of the list for value, friendliness and location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that's not above delivery entrance

Jurys was in a great location, very near the bus station with links to the airports. They also had a tour bus stop right outside the hotel. There were many attractions and lovely restaurants within walking distance. The Opera House was a minute away so excellent if you are going to a show.
We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay but the rooms were lacking any nice touches e.g. miniature toiletries (they did have large sharing bottles). I think we only spoke to staff on 4 occasions in 4 days, arrival and departure at reception, and at the bar. Saying that we did not eat in the hotel as there were many places for breakfast and diner around about. As the heading states the best thing about the hotel is the location though there is nothing wrong with the rest of it. i have stayed in Jurys in Dublin which I thought was much better. As this was a birthday treat for my Mum I was a little disappointed.

Room Tip: Large hotel. On street rooms were noisy so we had to sleep with the windows closed.

Green Features: We received clean towels every day even though we hung them up.

We were going on a holiday and had to leave Belfast at 6.00 am so we booked into Jury's the evening before.
Hotel was busy but check in was very prompt and our room was lovely.
My husband wanted to watch the golf on television and as the sports channel wasn't,t available in our room we went to the bar and asked the bar person and as nobody was watching anything else he put the golf on.,needless to say we had a bar snack while watching t v
Food was reasonable,and served quickly
Next morning it was raining very heavy and at 5.30am I rang down to reception for a taxi to take us to the bus station and that was waiting outside for us
Very good stay and we will be back

Room Tip: Book in advance

Stayed here for one night; came to see the Game of Thrones exhibit. Room was a bit dated but it was totally fine for our short stay. Breakfast was pretty decent. Express checkout lets you just drop your keycard in a letter box which was nice. Good location for seeing Belfast City centre. Short walk to city hall, shopping streets and train station.
