“Must see attraction - something for everyone.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

This is the best freebie in Belfast ! - don't let this stop you leaving a small donation so that they can continue to operate this amazing museum. The museum is well laid out and the various exhibits are well sign posted and cover everything from 'The Troubles' to a fascinating Egyptian Mummy. There are clean toilets around the museum, and the cafe is reasonably priced, with great cakes. An added bonus is that the museum is located in the Botanical Gardens, which provides a beautiful backdrop and is well worth a stroll around.

“This nice museum is a one stop shop for art, natural history, nature workshops archaeology ,the troubles and much more”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2014

This nice museum is a one stop shop for art, natural history, nature workshops archaeology ,the troubles and much more. The staff here are very helpful and friendly and ready to answer any question. The many topics this museum covers are in a roundabout way also a bit of a disadvantage,as one can very easily find himself entering the art gallery and exiting from there to the wild nature exhibition. This little issue does not undermine the overall attraction that is very interesting as it's not too much of anything and at the same time just enough to get your curiosity on overdrive for more

“ULSTER MUSEUM à”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2014

Just revisited it for thr first time since its renovation and certainly intend to pay more visits in the future. It is well laid out and obviously a lot of thought has gone into redesigning the exhibits. These catch your attention much more and are more up to date.Buildind is much more modern and inviting whilst the staff is very friendlty and helpful. One of the galleries wasnot open which was a pity as it is one that was of great personal interest but that does not detract from a good day ouy.Food was a bit pricey and needs consideration though

“Fantastic place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014

I visited the museum possibly on a monthly basis whilst at school and I thought it was fabulous then. Since the refurbishment, which took around 2 years, there is no doubt that things have changed dramatically (but some of the old exhibits are still there)! This is wonderful place - welcoming staff and great layout.p; interesting and fun for both adults and children.
Remember too there is no entrance charge for your visit, though a donation is welcome.

The surroundings outside are absolutely stunning too, and another hour or two can be spend in the tropical gardens etc., should the weather be good on the day of your visit.

There is no car park, so this can be a difficulty..... But you can be lucky enough to find a space in the streets
Near by (also no charge)0.
