Lovely museum that has been transformed from my last visit. Worth a visit to gain more knowledge on Northern Irish history.

“the troubles exhibition”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

Only popped in quickly to see this which was good, but had an enjoyable nose through the other floors on way back down. Would actually recommend starting at top floor.

“So far behind GB ... ”
Reviewed 27 August 2014 via mobile

Not a bad experience once you're there. However, don't try to research online first as it's virtually impossible to find their website. Also, don't try as we did to visit on a Monday in summer, expecting it to be open. It's closed and we struggled to park and gain access with a family member on crutches.
Clearly an institution that doesn't have to try very hard and puts visitors before its own convenience. All in marked contrast to the experience of any gallery or museum in London.

Really enjoyed this fantastic trip to the ulster museum. Kids especially liked the triceratops skull. Everything well presented and child safe.

“Interesting”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

Highly educational and very informative. A little difficult to find, if you are not familiar with the area. Several different levels with information on various subjects, such as the Ice Age, the Spanish Armada, style and the Troubles.
My one big issue is that parking is a nightmare. It said on the website that there is ample parking, so I expected a car park, however here isn't one and parking is on the street, if you can get it. My advise is to park in the city centre and get a bus up to Queen's University.
