“perfect, except for the very soft pillows and slamming bedroom doors at 6.30 am”
Reviewed 16 December 2013

We had a one night stay here as we had a funeral to attend early next day, unfortunately we were woken much earlier than we wanted because of doors being slammed. It seems that many of the self closing devices on the bedroom doors don't work properly. Apart from the doors and the pillows which gave no support and contributed to a very bad nights sleep, we were impressed with the hotel. Our evening meal in the restaurant was excellent as was the breakfast next morning. The room was large by todays standards and had everything needed. However a bottle or two of mineral water would be expected in a hotel of this standard. Quick and efficient check in/out, staff very helpful.

Room Tip: request a quiet room away from lifts

I stayed here because I had an early appointment at the Ulster Hospital and didnt want to brave the rush hour across town.

CHECK-IN
Only one person at reception and a queue waiting. Took about 15 minutes to check-in.

ROOM
Very clean, warm and comfortable. Good TV and alarm clock that works. Bathroom good with head and hand shower. I had a good night's sleep.

BREAKFAST
most of the breakfast is sourced in N Ireland which is great. Didn't have the fry but it looked good and not greasy. Just had cereal and toast followed by yogurt. The only complaint I have is that there were no Rice Krispies. If you dont like granola then the only choice is Corn Flakes.

STAFF
Very friendly and approachable. Looks like they enjoy working there.

OVERALL
Good hotel with reasonable prices, about 4 miles from City Centre

Had a most enjoyable stay here recently and have nothing but praise for all of the staff, especially reception staff who were very helpful. This is the ideal hotel for a business meeting; not sure if I would recommend it for a weekend break as it is outside Belfast city centre. I ate in the restaurant which was very good. One slight complaint; restaurant staff wiped down tables using a highly pungent spray which was not too pleasant for adjacent diners. The same practice employed at breakfast the next morning. A manager needs to be aware of this. I will return.

Room Tip: This is not a Belfast City centre hotel.

Booked through Booking.com at a price similar to 3 star hotel in city centre. Location may not be best if you don't have transport. Room was spacious, comfortable, quiet with free safe and radio with iPod/iPhone dock. No need to insert room key card in lock - only hold it against door. Modern bathroom with great shower and fluffy towels. Reception and dining room staff friendly and efficient.

Breakfast at £16.00 and additional charges for Wi-Fi can lead to substantial increase on bill at checkout.

Most of my family stayed in the hotel as part of my nephews wedding celebrations, and i can only say wow... Fantastic service, courteous efficient staff made sure the entire day from morning until early hours was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for everyone.
Beautiful food, elegant decor throughout and lovely comfortable beds.
The General manager, Norman and staff were on hand all day and nothing was too much trouble.
Well done Stormont...

My wife and I stayed overnight in this hotel as apart of our daughter's wedding celebrations. Her wedding ceremony and Reception were both held in the hotel. We, therefore, had several month;s consulting with hotel staff about the arrangements, and were very impressed by their efficiency, courtesy and flexibility. The Hotel's decor, etc. is in immaculate condition, the rooms - public and bed-rooms - are well appointed. Every appearance of a well run establishment.

Right at the foot of the road/path up to Stormont, this is the obvious place to stay if visiting the Assembly. The hotel itself is good, customer service excellent. Wifi not included in room cost and not cheap, but worked reasonably well. Room was smart and spacious. Only slight grumble was the information in room saying breakfast was served until 10.30 - they actually finished at 10.00 a few minutes before I went in, so everything was cleared away as I was starting. What I managed to have was good though!

Room Tip: The City rooms were decent sized and quietly out of the way.
