Stayed with friends in the Malone Lodge apartments, located 2 doors down from the main hotel (10 seconds walk). Was suitable impressed on entry to the apartment, such space and style! Was with friends but immediately thought the apartment would be perfect for a family, with space for little ones to run about and for storage of all the extras that come with numbers.
The apartment was decorated to an impressive degree, the small kitchen was equipped with anything one could possibly need during a stay (we didn't use one third of what was supplied!) and the sitting area was wonderfully spacious and confortable. Must mention that I have never stayed in a hotel that had full cable TV, with an impressive selection of channels, not just the usual 10 encounteretd in most hotels.
Bedrooms were clean and spacious, ditto bathroom. Not the usual compact bathroom provided in other hotel rooms. I actually remarked to my friend that I would be very happy if the apartment was actually my home, so impressed was I with the size and decor.
Hotel staff were accommodating and friendly, they were busy but still treated us as valued customers. Breakfast has a wonderful variety for the healthy and the not so healthy; loved the herb sausages.
Would definitely stay there again and have recommended this to others since. Bit of a treck from the city centre (15min walk) but good to walk off the breakfast!

This hotel has been wonderful to me during the last couple of years. I have visited regularly and although some of my favourite staff have left i.e. Breigee at reception, one is still a constant source of help and service to customers. Tony Cary goes the extra mile for everyone who spends time in the recoption or dining room. I shall miss my trips to Malone Lodge as I retire from business this week. The hotel is really good value.

A very comfortable place where we didn't feel out of place because we weren't wearing suits. Good room and facilities and quiet. Might be a little hot in summer. I don't recall there being airconditioning.

I recently stayed in the Malone Lodge Hotel for an over night stay and we could not fault the Hotel / Apartments at all!

We booked an apartment for the stay for four of us and when we came to checkin the apartment was ready although we were early......we were showed to the apartment literally next door by one of the staff who was pleasnt and polite. We got into the apartment and were suprised at what we seen there was a spacious living area with more than adequate kitchen facilities ( extremly pleased with the cereals butter / jams and milk provided). We then checked out the bedrooms both which were extremly clean and finished to high standard as was the bathroom.

After the staff member left letting us no we could contact the reception desk if we needed anything........we got settled in and were suprised to find an ironing board and iron as well dish washer, washing powder, microwave and various bathroom products.

When we were heading out that evening the receptionists were more than helpful in regards to ordering taxis for us and giving us taxis numbers for our return. All the reception staff that we came into contact were more then helpful and provided excellent customer service at every oppurtunity. When we did return from out night out we headed into the hotel bar and were served quickly and promtly by the bar staff before heading back to our apartment.

Overall we had an excellent stay with The Malone Lodge Hotel and would have no problem heading back there for another over night stay.

I would just like to say how fantastic we found the Malone Lodge Hotel and staff to be. We stayed there recently and had such a lovely time. The location is really good and in a quiet area which is perfect at night time. From the moment we got there we received a really warm welcome from the staff at reception . They were so helpful and friendly and we can only say great things about all the staff there.
Our room was lovely and spacious. We were in one of the bigger rooms during our stay.
It was spotlessly clean and had everything we required from ironing facilities to a really big tv with all the satellite channels.
Breakfast the first morning was cooked to order and was fabulous. Available were fresh fruit, different types of juices, yoghurts, pastries, breads and then whatever cooked breakfast you wanted from the menu. The next morning it was buffet style which was lovely as well.
In the evening after being out we sat in the open lounge area with really comfy chairs and couches and within literally minutes of sitting down we were asked if we wanted anything from the bar. The staff were really excellent from delivering the newspaper in the morning, to calling taxis to seeing to anything we needed.
The only thing that I felt was missing was possibly air-conditioning in the bedroom. Overall our experience in the Malone Lodge was excellent and when we are back in Belfast again we will definitely be staying there again.

For those of you who do not know Belfast I will inform you that the Malone Road is known at the well to do area of Belfast. Malone Lodge is situation just off this road and itself and its apartments suggest luxury and elegance in their descriptions.

To begin with the apartment itself was unimpressive and rather dull. If that was the only problem it would have been acceptable, however the list continues...
The dull grey carpet had several stains in the hallway, a hallway which was dimly lit with shallow lighting.
After one person took a bath we were appalled to discover that the water had already run cold - in an apartment meant for 5-6 people. It did not heat either when the heater was switched on. The shower head that was part of the bath didn't work properly, it shot water in every direction. Thinking wisely I decided to attempt to use the electric shower on the wall. This was hot for a while and then turned cold. When I turned it off and hung it up it continued to drip down into the bath below even after I'd dried it. When later I attempted to turn it on again it would not work at all.
The locks would also stick and the decor in the hallway was dated and bland to say the least, there was nothing special about it, it was drowsy and depressing. The man at reception told us that the left wouldn't go up to our floor, yet it did when I tried to take it...
Essentially this is incredibly unacceptable for a hotel/apartment combo that boasts a four star status and an award winning reputation. Absolute nonsense. I seriously hope we are not excepted to pay the full amount because this was a very poor attempt at luxury at too high a price.

Stayed one night for my sisters wedding, the wedding meal was flawless and I would like to thank all the staff for a brilliant night! The next day we had lunch in the bar which again was fantastic. We ended up staying for the majority of the day relaxing in the big armchairs in the lobby being attentitively served by Alan and Chris. It was a relaxing break and will be back again soon!
