Friends and famiy stayed here in October for our wedding which took place nearby. They had a great choice of rooms and apartments - unmatched in Belfast, which meant they were all accommodated under one roof.

Everyone gave it the thumbs up. I dined there with friends the night before the wedding and was struck by how good the staff were with children especially. The location in the south of the city and the fact that it is family-owned means it has more of a homely feel than the chain hotels in the city centre.

It's great for south Belfast and the university area but equally good if you plan to be around the city centre. The 8 and 9 buses (which run every 5 mins) from streets at either end of the avenue take you into the centre in less than 5 minutes.

It's easily among the best hotels in Belfast for value and service and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it for friends and family to use again.

We stayed here two nights in November. From the moment we walked in the doors the staff couldnt have been more helpfull. There was even someone there to take our bags to our roon if we had of wanted. We were booked into an executive suite. It was a fantastic room. I have to say it was very clean, warm and cosy. The bed was very comfortable with the tv just at the bottom which is a great idea and the bathroom was fab with a huge shower. On the first evening we ate in the hotel. We had a superb meal i highly recommend you eat there they have a great varied menu and it is excellent vale for money!! Malone Lodge hotel is in an excellent location for shooping or a concert in Belfast. We got a taxi to the odyssey to see a concert, the girl at reception booked it for us and the car picked us up right at the door and it cost us just £5 which is great for a city i thought. Breakfast is lovely also we went down at 8am so it was quiet and again the staff went out of their way to help, i wanted something that was not on the menu and it was no problem the waitress checked with the kitchen and i had my breakfast on the table before i knew it. All in all i highly reccomend this hotel. We had such a lovely time here and cannot wait until our next visit.

Excellent Hotel with very helpful reception staff. I had booked a double room but were told when we got there that we were in an apartement.....I insited on a room as we wanted the hotel experience and we were upgraded to an executive suite. It was excellent. Really nice room and facilities. Breakfast was good but breakfast area is really too small for the amount of guests they had and we had to wait for a table for a while, especially on the Sunday morning. Again reception staff were very nice when we wanted to check out an hour later... Room was close to the main road and noise wasn't too bad as it;s a quiet road but you could hear everything.Lovely walk into town past University etc. Good value, I would recommend this hotel.

Got a voucher for the select hotels 2 for 1 offer, I wanted to go to Galway but my B.P.H (better, prettier, half) has been going on and on about seeing the giants causeway and we'd never stayed in northern Ireland before so we gave it a try, very relaxing stay, staff were genuinely very friendly and attentive, we loved it. They gave us an executive room which was a surprise because our voucher offer was only €99 for 2 nights B&B for the two of us! Anyway it's about an hour's drive to the giants causeway and we both enjoyed it, we took in the rope bridge at carrick-a-reed and the bushmills distillery in the same afternoon, they're all must see and close to one another, the green door restaurant in the hotel was top class and to be honest we didn't see much of Belfast because the weather was quite stormy apart from our day at the coast. We'll definitely go back. To give an idea of the attention to detail at this hotel, As i was waiting at reception there were two businessmen checking in and the receptionist asked would they like to order a newspaper for the next morning, one guy ordered his paper and when the second guy went to order his paper she said it was still on their system from his last visit. How cool is that! Maybe next time I visit I can ask for my usual room and I get a free upgrade to the executive room again!

We stayed in the apartments which are just beside the hotel. We booked 2 two bed apartments and a one bed for a total of 12 girls on a hen weekend. The apartments were gorgeous with fully equiped kitchens, beautifully decorated living area and large bedrooms. The beds were super comfy and overall we were delighted with our stay. We only wish we had more time to spend in them and will definitely stay there again. The staff in the hotel were very welcoming and pleasant. We spent most of the night in a private studio/gallery called Blick which can be hired for any event. It was conveniently located around the corner from the apartments and perfect for any a group or large gathering.
