Stayed here after i was told about it by a friend. From the free drink i got when checking in to the beautiful breakfast the following morning everything was brilliant. Everyone working here is clued in that service is the number one thing in this business as they went the extra mile to ensure that our stay was made special. Can't wait to come back!

My wife and I stayed in an executive room for £90 B&B. Its only a short walk from the city centre. The room was spacious, clean, warm and quite. We lay down on the bed on entering the room to test for comfort, she feel asleep instantly it was so comfortable. The staff are genuinely freindly. The bar is fantastic and they serve a good pint. The breakfast it top quality , cleanly cooked with good quality bacon and sauage and huge.
The only small let down is they have no parking directly beside the hotel and you need to park in a car park a few minuites walk away and be careful not to venture down the Sandy Rd which is to the left of the hotel as you head into the city. It can be quite intimidating.Unfortunately the likes of this is the only remaining stain the most vibrant and friendly city in Ireland.

Stayed for 2 nights mid week with the wife and brat! Service was excellent and I support all the previous good reviews of this hotel. Only issue was parking but the good rates with a car park close by was half price. Didnt need the car for the 2 days as we walked and tooks trains everywhere. People on the reception were most helpful, pleasant and professional in their dealings with us. Great hotel would reccomend it

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel whilst visiting son at uni with my other child and was pleasantly surprised on the luxury for a 3 star. The beds were of a lovely height all pocket sprung with a topper on mattress. Having sold beds over the years I am quick to reconize quality. All the best hotels have excellent beds with quality linen. Food excellent and can be even cheaper on their 'beat the clock deals'. Decor fantastic throughout the hotel and staff exceptionally helpful, all have been very well trained. Location is practically opp. queen's uni and 15 min walk to town in other direction. It's not often I give praise, mostly prone to criticize infact! but try as I might this experience was fautless!!

I am just back from a 3 night stay at Benedicts & had a wonderful break. The hotel is approx a 10 min walk from the City Centre. The rooms are very spacious & spotlessly clean. My only issue was that I was allergic to the feather matress & duvet!! The staff were quick to help by bringing extra sheets & synthetic pillows for me. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious - highly recommend the peppered chicken. The staff couldn't do enough for us during our stay. We'll definitely be back!!

my partners parents 25th aniversary was last week and her little sister fell sick with swine flu she was brought to intensive care for it, my partner booked through her debit card and they held her details. my partner tried to cancel less than 48 hours before they were due to check thus waving their right to a full refund they said they would have to charge for at least a double room for one night stay, she was really at their mercy as they held her card details. Benedicts took £210 for 1 night stay and evening meal for 2, there were no efforts to move the booking back to a later date for when things get better. This is the thanks you get when you book hotels in advance and the perks of having card details of the costumer. BENEDICTS SHOW NO COMPASION

This review, having looked into the matter, is, in my opinion neither a fair, nor indeed an accurate account of the situation that occurred.
The guest, in his review, freely concedes that the hotel cancellation policy was breached. Although the first night's stay could have been charged, given the circumstances and in an effort to be flexible and reasonable, it was offered that no charge would be made, if the room could be resold on the following day ( the chances of which would have been very favourable). This offer was declined and the guests duly checked in as per the original booking which was for the " two night special" including a four course meal on one of the evenings @ £110.00 prpn in a Deluxe Executive double room. Over the two days the guests enjoyed full use of the hotel facilities, which were, of course, at their disposal throughout. Before having the 4 course meal on the second evening the guests informed the hotel receptionist that they would be checking out early ( albeit c.10.00pm) The impression given in the review that the guests were charged £210.00 for 1 night's stay is therefore patently innaccurate. The guests decision to depart early, late in the evening of their second day, was entirely at their discretion and presumably for their own reasons. At Benedicts we always strive to be as fair and as reasonable as we can, given the particular circumstances of any situation.
