What a great find; the staff were all lovely, the room was really comfortable with quality beds and fittings. The breakfast was great, all home cooked to order and the lcoation, a 15 minte walk from the town centre was fine. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. Thank you so much.

This hotel is everything we could have wanted and more. A very friendly and accomodating reception and a coincerge service to boot - they could not do enough to make our stay an enjoyable one. They booked us a black cab tour and called us when it arrived, were able to advise us on things to do, train times etc - even direct us to where to get a full Irish breakfast in the afternoon. The room was large and had a beautiful view of the city and onto the fall foliage of the trees. Everything was to a very high standard and extremely neat and clean. The area has a student-y, welcoming vibe to it, with many tree-lined streets. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Belfast.

One night stay in Oct 2012 for short visit of Belfast. On arrival staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms very nice, clean and cozy. Breakfast very good too. Area is ok but kind of a student residential zone, so bit noisy Friday night. Walkable to Belfast Centre about 15 min. Ideal if you need a nice clean and friendly place to stay, if you plan to spend most of your time touring around rather than lounging at the hotel.

Hard to find any fault because there are none. They work hard to maintain their high rating and it shows. Stunning stay from start to finish, I didn't want to leave. The breakfast is suprerb with service just delightful. I wish them well, they deserve it all. I can't wait to go back.

The Tara Lodge is a most comfortable and well appointed hotel within walking distance of shops, pubs, restaurants and the Botanic Street train station. We arrived at the Northern Irish Rail Station and it was very easy to jump on a local train one stop to Botanic and walk the few blocks to the hotel, even in the drizzling rain. The rooms are spacious, stylish and bedecked with all modern conveniences -- my husband liked the safe and windows that open for fresh air, my kids wanted to use the iron to apply football patches they had purchased to their jackets. There were lots of outlets to charge all our electronics and televisions to get our daily dose of Olympics games. The staff was very friendly with suggestions for restaurants and helpful directions. (The front desk was very helpful when I booked over the phone from the US with many questions.) We had rooms over the entrance and had a view of the local neighborhood. Made us feel like we were a part of the city itself. Breakfast surpassed expectations with whisky porridge and other delights to please everyone. Highly recommended.
