Tara Lodge is everything Trip Advisor review's say. The staff were without exception; polite, friendly and could not have been more helpful. The rooms were clean and light. The breakfasts were prepared to a very hight standard. Presentation excellent and each plate freshly cooked to order.
The only reason for not giving Tara Lodge an excellent overall is because the front bedrooms did not have air conditioning and with a few balmy nights & windows open we were awoken every night around 3 or 4.00am with loud, street noise as people wondered home to their prospective houses down our street.Whilst I appreciate to be so central to shops, bars and restaurants means having a hotel in the centre of eveything some thought needs to go into minimising the disturbance as much as possible,

Room Tip: Ask for a back room not facing the front of the hotel.

The location is pretty good (Belfast is very walkable), and plenty of parking in the area. The staff really sets it apart, possibly the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered anywhere. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Enjoyed Belfast and the black cab tour, thanks to the front desks various reccomendations.

We recently stayed at Tara lodge on a family weekend, the hotel provided excellent accommodation, and the customer service excelled, we could not ask any more from the hotel, it was modern, very clean and breakfast was really nice. The hotel is about 20mins walk to city centre for shopping, and a taxi would cost about £4, Tara lodge is pleasantly located from the main road on a side street, away from traffic . If and when we return to Belfast, Tara lodge will be one of our top choices to stay .

This hotel has the most excellent customer service. When we arrived we noticed that our room was facing onto a busy road and had a slight draught it the window, so we requested to be moved and were offered a second room. The second room, although smaller, seemed perfect at first, quiet and comfortable, but soon after we moved to the room, we became aware of a loud buzzing noise coming from a closet. We asked to be moved for a second time and the staff accommodated us with a new room which was perfectly quiet. We are very grateful for the considerate customer service we received throughout, despite our issue with room noise. With regard to the other aspects: lovely welcome staff (friendly and warm), excellent breakfast, impeccably clean, only a ten minute walk from the city centre. Overall, the wonderful staff make this hotel, no request is too much, and despite our small issues re: noise, the hotel is to be recommended. We would definitely return.

Room Tip: Room No.1 had some loud road noise but might be fine for most travellers. Room 21 is a lovely compa...

Stayed in Tara Lodge recently for a city break. Very personal, intimate place. The staff working at reception were top class- couldn't have been more friendlier, approachable and helpful. Really appreciated their hospitality, in particular Ricky who was such a gent. Rooms were lovely, clean and spacious. We particularly liked the DVD service where you could choose from a selection of movies to watch- a nice touch if you fancy a night in. Our only complaint was with breakfast. We were quite disappointed with the size of the full fry: maybe we are just used to monster fries but for us it seemed more like a mini fry, rather than a full one. Also one morning I found a hair which was definitely not my own in my fried egg :( This aspect of our stay let us down somewhat but would not stop us from going back again and recommending it to others.

Very attentive staff, very clean, a great breakfast choice every morning, located on Cromwell road just off Botanic Avenue in the Queens quarter of the City within a 15 minute walk to the city centre. Also close is the Botanic Gardens and within 5 minutes walk is the Belfast Empire which provides entertainment most nights at no extra cost.
