It was a very nice suprise to stay at Tara Lodge. The room and the bathroom were spacious, very clean and cozy with free internet, very close to the university. The staff was friendly and ready to answer all my questions

I strongly recommend it both for holidays and business.

It was our first trip to Belfast we found Tara Lodge on Google and checked it out onTrip Advisor. It was excellent, from the first friendly greeting to the last goodbye. The hotel is just the right size, it was very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in all areas. We had no complaints at all and would definately stay there again. And yes the Porridge is good.

Stayed there for two nights on the second week of February. and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is around the corner from the train station, so it took me just 12 minutes from City Airport to the hotel for a much needed rest. The room was bigger than I expected, the bathroom was very nice with a bathtub and the amenities included bath salts, body wash, shampoo, and lotion. There was even a dispenser for plastic bags for disposal of women's sanitary pads, which is something I have not seen in several 5 stars hotels I stayed in. The view was great, room had a safe and a flat screen TV with many digital channels, and everything in there was perfectly clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. On my first night I could not connect to the internet, the lady at the reception tried her best to help, and then when I gave up and went back to my room she called and said that she called the IT guy then explained to me what I was doing wrong until I could successfully connect! The breakfast was big and delicious, cooked fresh, and I was served by a proper gentleman who was everywhere making sure that everyone had everything they needed. The hotel was quiet and beautiful and staff acted as if they were the owners because they showed great care. The only thing that was missing was printed cards to hang outside the door asking for no disturbance, instead of having to answer the door to tell the housekeepers that I will sleep in and won't need their services. That hotel was the single most pleasant stay I have ever had anywhere, bar none.

From the welcome to the departure, you are made to feel as though you have arrived home. The acid test of any business is consistency in staffing, The familiar faces have been with the company for many years. They are friendly, polite, unassuming, helpful, knowlegeable with a sense of humour.Nothing is too much bother. Standards are high and youare made to feel safe and secure at all times.Make sure you stay enough days to sample all the breakfast menu.
The hotel is within walking distance for transport shopping, entertainment and culture, what more could you ask for? Visiting the TaraLodge is a very pleasant habit which I would strongly recommend.

Ideal location for small friendly and very comfortable b&b. A positive jewel in the midst of the "rough" of the student quarter. Don't be put off. It is a beacon of calm but also of immense friendliness that hits you like a wave of heat from an open boiler as you enter. They say they have awards for their staff' work - they should have even more. They could not do enough. Everything is walkable here and seems entirely safe. The university quarter is a cat's spit away and well worth a stroll as are the Botanics (though probably better in Spring!) and the superb newly refurbished museum therein. You can stroll to the town centre or pick up a bus - remember to get a cheap day ticket for unlimited travel. A city worth getting to know - and hopefully one day forgetting the necessity that has become the virtue - discussion of the troubles. God bless all here.

Very comfortable rooms with free Internet access, close to the city centre and the Queen's Belfast University, so perfect for work trips. Excellent breakfast, and very friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend the hotel to anyone, and stay there again myself.
