I found Tara Lodge to be an excellent choice and would certainly stay there again. The rooms are very modern, trendy and extremely comfy (especially the bed!). All of the staff were welcoming and very helpful but 'Ricky' in particular looked after us beautifully. Nice breakfast choice.Great selection of bars and restaurants within walking distance and you can get to the city centre no bother. All in all I couuld not fault anything and I have travelled greatly!

Tara lodge is a little hard to find if you are driving yourself (sat nav very useful).
when we arrived we were greeted by freindly effecient member of staff, the hotel was warm and welcoming finished to a very high standard. Our room was on the first floor to the front, it was very well appointed with every thing you could need. The room was realy clean and finised in a modern style, the bed was huge and I have to say the most comfortable i have slept in did not want to get up. the breakfast menu is very extensive offering lots of opitions, the staff were very attentive offering loads of top ups tea or coffee. The hotel is situated close to great bars and restaurants no need for a taxi.
A great hotel, great location, great price, and most enjoyable stay will definately be using again.

i can't remember ever lying in a bed as comfortable as that ,i didn't want to get up the next morning.the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was first class.location wise ,a ten min stroll will take you into town, although there are plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep.very reasonably priced,i fully intend to return for my next stay in belfast.

This is not a hotel. It was bought to me as a present - a weekend away in Belfast. It was more - "out of the way" (than weekend away) and you had to get a bus to get to the city centre. There was no restaurant in the place and no bar. This is a glorified bed and breakfast. It was also quite noisy, with yobbos in the street, which made my g/f and I feel uncomfortable. We had noticed the boarded up houses earler and that was a definite put off. Breakfast was OK but this is a glorified B&B. It was not cheap for what you get. I would never stay here again nor recommend it.

Dear dccinvites

Both my team and I are disappointed that you did not enjoy any aspect of your stay in March 2010. We all work very hard to ensure that each of our guests have a positive and enjoyable experience at Tara Lodge. Unfortunately, in your case, we were obviously not able to meet your expectations in any area.

I realise that your stay with us was a present and therefore you did not make the choice to book and stay with us. If you had taken some time to check out our website once you realised you were coming to stay with us, you may have noticed that we make no secret of the fact that we do not have a restaurant or bar onsite. However there are many to choose from nearby. Our location is certainly on the bus route into the city centre, a journey that would take no longer than 5 minutes by bus, including all the stops at the traffic lights on the way! Most of our guests find the 15 minute (maximum) walk to the city hall a better option.

We pride ourselves on offering bed with breakfast to the highest standard. Thankfully the AA inspectors think that our bed and breakfast is glorified enough to be awarded a place in the top 10% of AA 4 star graded guest accommodation properties in the UK.

I am sorry that we were unable to provide you with a satisfactory stay, never mind an enjoyable one.

Kind Regards
Nora Douds
Manager
