We would highly recommend The Maranatha to everyone, friendly staff, cleaned daily and not forgetting the Excellent food. Their are heaps of local places to visit, with a large park opposite to walk off that huge breakfast, plenty of parking.. I give it 5 stars..
we will definately return..

We arrived in Belfast on Saturday afternoon and went straight to the the Maranatha House. The owner had stepped out briefly but arranged for a key to be left so that we could check-in without any problems. Our room, a family room, located on the 3rd floor of the guest house, was immaculate. Very clean with a huge double bed as well as a single bed of great quality. The bathroom seemed to just have been newly decorated, which was a bonus, too. All in all, top marks for the accommodation.
The next morning we thought we'd try the breakfast, which was included in a very reasonable rate. We were very positively surprised as the guesthouse offered a choice and quality that many 4-star hotels wouldn't be able to beat. From porridge to a full Ulster breakfast everything was on the menu. Very good coffee, too.
I can only recommend the guesthouse, it was a pleasure to stay there.

This is the second time our work team booked at the Maranatha while attending a show in Belfast, and it was definately the right decision!!! Apart from the excellent quality rooms and great breakfast, its the staff that ensure it stands out. We arrived at Belfast the evening before a local show, only to find that some of the fabric advertising banners got dirty during transport. It was evening time and we counldn't find any dry cleaners locally. I rang Maranatha house in a panic for some help in finding somewhere... due to the time nowhere was opened. To my great relief and surprise Marian took pity on us...... and the next morning we had two clean banners for the show. Last Year i wrote a review with the only issue being the strength of the wifi signal. This year the wifi was ideal. Would have no hesitation in recommending this top notch Guest House.

This is our second time to stay at the Maranatha, and it won't be the last. The staff are like family, and the amenities are very good. Marion cooks a wonderful breakfast to your requirements. The menu is exceptional, and caters for all tastes.
Marion recommended the Ormeau Golf Club for lunch or evening meal. Their meals are as good as some high class hotels, as we ate there twice over the two visits we made this last year.
The only downside to our stay this time, was on our last night. Two selfish young males returned at 2a.m. and entered the premises like it was the middle of the day, turning on either the television or radio and leaving it on all night, and traipsing about like baby elephants, as they were on the floor above us.
All in all, I have enjoyed this trip to Belfast and wouldn't hesitate to book the Maranatha again. I'm looking forward to my next visit already.

Everything is very good. But a shower is not good. its quantity of warm water is a few. It is difficult to wash a head.

We are sorry to hear about our experince with the shower. From your review, it seems that you did not have enough hot water. If you want to contact us and let us know the date of stay, the room and time of date we will look into this and come back to you.
Many thanks for your feedback.

We were very impressed by all aspects of our time at Maranatha House. We were warmly greeted by Marian who was very helpful making a considerable effort to help us have our clothes laundered.
The B and B is well located within walking distance of the city [about 1.5 miles]
The bedroom was very comfortable with a perfect bed.Lovely and warm too. There is a spacious lounge downstairs with comfortable lounges, sunny and warm.
The breakfast was really good includuding fresh fruit, which is not always available in B and B's.
I would highly recommend Maranatha House.

We stayed here twice during our trip to N.Ireland, both times enjoyable. The staff are very friendly with excellent breakfasts in the morning with a wide choice. Decorated well with nice rooms and plenty of space.

We did suffer from a lack of sleep though during our stay, its not excessive just that in the front rooms you will hear traffic noise of a moderately busy road. When in the back rooms we had a few noisy neighbours but I'm sure that usually isn't a problem.

Location is fine if you have a car, walking though involves a good steady 15-20 minutes to the town centre, it is by the park though, so nice in the good weather.

I'd stay there again, it is a lovely place to stay just not quite perfect.

Room Tip: Avoid the front rooms they suffer traffic noise
