“Nice stay in Belfast”
Reviewed 12 September 2013 via mobile

Booked a twin room for a night with my travel companion. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit worse for the wear with broken floor tiles, but I can look past that because our hostess was so nice and personable. Breakfast was top notch! The location is a little out of the way with not a whole lot super close by, but it served its purpose.

We have just come back from a family trip to Belfast where we spent two nights at Maranatha House. I can't speak highly enough about the way that Marion looked after us, offering help with restaurants, taxis and directions and accommodating our various dietary requests! The house itself is well located, and all three generations of us were impressed by the spacious accommodation and comfortable beds. Very good value!

Stayed for 3 nights in August excellent location we were able to walk to restaurants through the park and to the Titanic quarter along a walk way by the river accessible about 10 minutes from Maranatha House. Marion took excellent care of us and I would recommend the Special Breakfast. Thanks for a great stay. Ruth

Room Tip: The back rooms are quieter in the mornings due to road noise but this is to be expected in a city

There was over 60 Nations and around 4000 volunteers in which I was one of 100 volunteers assisting with the Medals Team for these games. These games took place with in 42 venues throught out Northern Ireland, during these games as such we would have occassion to go to
many different sporting events, and stayed in many area's, one such place was Queens accommodation, Malone Road, Belfast, they cater for B & B only, the staff were surperb and
help us out in every way possible, we dinned in the Sir Willa's for breackfast even though there was different nations for breackfast, every body really enjoyed the wonderfull and most enjoyable food that was available and of course plenty of it. Belfast in general is well wort a visit, there are many places to visit i which I would reccommend, some of the nations were not aware of out long bright days here in Ireland.

Room Tip: Titanic mesuem, and lots more

We arrived August 1,2013 and stayed for 8 days. From the beautiful victorian style of the bed and breakfast, the friendly and attentive staff to the comfy beds, we enjoyed every bit of our stay. The service here is definitely worth more than what you pay for. It did not break our pockets. More than anything, it is about the friends we have met on our stay. Marian, the manager exceeded her job and made us feel right at home by always welcoming us each morning with a warm smile, well wishes for the competition and day ahead and always booking our cab on time. The assistants were also friendly and helpful. The combination breakfast(or Ulster fry) was very tasty and many other items on the menu were delicious too. The rooms had plenty of room for my husband and I who had 4 large luggages. The closet spaces in the room were very helpful. The hotel, although an older building, was kept very clean and always smelled fresh. It was non smoking and no pets.. We had a great view out of our room window, of the hills, and the lovely houses. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the city center and large bus lines, making the location convenient. Overall, wonderful stay!! I was actually a little sad to be leaving because it started feeling a little like home. It is a fitting place to stay for spouses or teens- adults, looking to get away from the downtown area and just relax.

This is a very nice B&B within a 15 minute walking distance of the city center. The room and bathroom was very spacious and clean. It didn't feel like a traditional B&B though. More like a cross between a B&B and a boutique hotel.
Breakfast room was huge and sunny. Food was excellent. They were very nice about letting us keep our car at the B&B the next morning while we checked out the St George market.
Will definitely recommend this place.

Wonder place to stay, 5 star breakfast(Ulster Fry / Smoke Salmon on Scrambled Egg and Wheaten Bread). Accommodation everything top European City Hotels offer, but the "Maranatha" has extra star quality in personal service and requirements over seen by the magical Marian and her excellent staff.

We return year after year to this very special place and enjoy the wonderful tourist attractions of N. Ireland - i.e. The Titanic Area, Lake District, Giants Causway, wonderful Homes and Gardens, Golf Clubs and it's a photographers paradise!!!!!!
