You so cant call that a golden mile, what we have in Belfast is rubbish. There's nothing there but a few bars and eating places, I met a group off ladies from Glasgow over to Belfast for a weekend away they were asking me about the 'golden mile' that a taxi driver took them to, And they said it was rubbish . They said they started at the globe and work their way down to Robinson's, If you look at the Manchester or any other major city there golden mile has about 60 or more pubs and clubs and also eating places. Belfast golden mile is a joke.

The Golden Mile of Belfast describes an area which leads from the University area into the city centre and is filled with fast food establishments and bars catering for the student population. There are a small number of good restaurants along this way, and three fashion boutiques. Basically, it is a sure bet of finding the nearest KFC and McDonalds and not what i would class an attraction at all. I would advise walking to the other side of the road - along Botanic as it is an area filled with charming one off shops, little cafes and restaurants and runs parallel to the Golden Mile behind the University and up into the city along Bedford Street and Dublin Road.
