Wellington Park Hotel

I stayed at the Wellington Park Hotel last weekend, had an amazing time. Staff looked after my friends and I very well. The bedrooms were great, we had a triple room which was very large and attractive. The craic at night was very good but the music choice was a bit old for us. We went to the Botanic which is just next door so it was handy. The breakfast in the hotel was very tastey. We'll definately be back when we're on our next girls night out. A big thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well!

Was at an event in Belfast, we were meant to stay overnight in this hotel, but we couldn't due to floods at home. We decided that we would have something to eat in it anyway... the hotel reception area is very travel lodge like, but very clean... and the staff very friendly. The bar/ lounge area is open plan and reminded me quite like the lounges on the ferry to England... The seats were very comfy and the bar staff were very attentive... I ordered prawns as a main course and my partner had pasta, it was served very quickly and very good sized portions....
I noted the there was live music on a friday night but they had no music in the backround at all...

The hotel is in an idea location, just min's from the Ulster Museum and Queens...
There was wifi in the hotel but you had to pay for it... this drives me mad... they should offer this for free.... people might buy a coffee just to use the free wifi, they'd make more on the coffee...
We dined in the lounge area so i can't speak for their dining room.. but food was good anyway...

We stayed here for one night mainly due to University location and family room. 2 adults, 2 children 3&4. I could not believe how dated the corridors were until we arrived at our room. It was depressing. huge areas of painted damp on the bedroom ceiling, tired bathroom and grubby. Dirt obviously being missed behind doors, esp in bathroom.

Breakfast was adequate, but nothing redeeming, burnt croissants. Tea very weak. Kettle in room would only stretch to fit and sit on luggage stand, not ideal with kids. and hair drier yellow and very dated.

I wouldn't stay here again, not when there is so many other better options. I was lured by the promise of a decent family room, not worth 4 star, def not value for money.

We recently held our wedding reception in the hotel and I have to say it was amazing. The hotel staff were excellent especially Clare, Gary and Stephen. The food was gorgeous and the guests are still talking about it. The way the room was decorated was beautiful. The rooms were lovely, clean, warm and comfortable. I would definately recommend the Wellington Park to anyone planning their wedding and also for people just wanting a break. Many thanks Paul and Jacqueline x

My husband and I stayed for two nights in this hotel. From the moment we checked in we found the receptionist to be very friendly she was very professional. The bar snack we got on the Saturday was great the waitress(from Tyrone) sorry cant remember her name was so friendly a very nice girl. There was a problem with the heating system in our room but the manager Gary tried to resolve the problem himself and offered to move us to another room which we felt wasn't necessary the problem was resolved very quickly and the manager Gary was extremely helpful and so professional at his job! I wouldn't hesitate booking another break in the Wellington Hotel
Over all the staff at this hotel and the food was great.

6 Scottish people on the recommendation of our friend Johny Gaya stayed for two nights to attend a surprise birthday party for an Irish friend.
Breakfast excellent, staff very friendly and there are no words to describe how helpful Gary was in making our stay an experience and making us feel most welcome
Never fear we will return!!!
Many Thanks
Elspeth

Room Tip: Rooms on south side definately quieter especially on a Saturday night

My wife and I stayed 3 nights. Excellent service. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was great. I had let my battery go dead. The hotel staff had us on the road again within 40 minutes, and gave us tea and coffee while we waited. Location is perfect. Many thanks to Malachy and Gary for their friendliness and service. Hope to stay there again next year.
