“Tuesday is comedy night”
Reviewed 2 October 2013 via mobile

Happened to bump into this place on a Tuesday night as we were staying in a hotel across the road. £8 entry fee but if your into comedy its a must.

Side splittingly hilarious is an understatement. We had a ball. I nearly urinated in my trousers from laughing. The venue was very busy but plenty of staff ensured the whiskey kept on coming.

If its Tuesday and the comedy is on there is no better place to be.

“Comedy night and drinks”
Reviewed 1 August 2013

We went here on Tuesday for the comedy night whilst staying in Belfast seeing friends. We were very impressed with it overall. £8 for a ticket to the comedy club and some good offers on in the upstairs bar. The downstairs bar was also good, with bands regularly playing and plenty of space to sit down with a drink. The bouncers are a bit funny about you bringing drinks from downstairs to upstairs however - we bought two cocktails and tried to bring them up and the bouncer said no?! Don't see why not - the money all goes to the same place. Anyway we argued it and he let us in in the end. But apart from that it's a good place to go for a drink and a chat.

“Relaxed Sunday night out”
Reviewed 13 June 2013

We went to see Ken Haddock and found the music very good indeed, bar was busy but not too crowded. A Sunday night in the Empire is definitely a more relaxed night for a drink and my wife and I found it spot on
