My second visit in two years, along with my now 83 year old mother. The house is as billed, a great example of Northern Ireland late 19th/early 20th century architecture, and furnished appropriately. The location is great, in the, frankly, nicest suburb of the city, and good for visiting the major sites that Belfast has to offer.
Rooms and plumbing are clean, comfortable and functional.
But these aren't the reasons you go to the Old Rectory: You go for Mary's warm welcome, and her knowledge of all NI has to offer, and you go for the great breakfasts. We came away with one of Gerry's wheaten loaves, which arrived unbidden, as a going-away present.
Bookmark their site, congratulate them on their food and service, and have a thoroughly great experience on the Malone Road.More
