Description: Contemporary Indian cuisine, located on bank street in the heart of Belfast City centre. At Safa we offer authentic Indian recipes and traditional style of cooking. Ali takes great pride in cooking to order and grinding all his own spices so it really is the closest to Indian home cooking you can get. We also have a full bar and incredible wine list.

“Great addition to Belfast scene”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2012

Hadn't heard about Safa until reading a newspaper review, was in city centre a few days later so thought we'd try it for lunch. Having done so will definitely return for dinner soon. Perfect for anyone looking for a very good lunch, short but well chosen menu, good wine list, well priced (£6.95 for 2 couses) especially for anyone with time constraints - service was efficient but not intrusive. Indian food scene in Belfast has moved up a notch with the advent of Safa, and Mourne Seafood is just next door too!

“Very Welcoming”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 March 2012

Myself and my partner went to safa for dinner one night and the staff where very helpful and gave great recomendations on the menu, The food had a nice spice and the complementry drinks made the night. If i had to give one recomendation I would suggest that they get a big Dessert menu as I did not find anything to my liking, but overall a lovely night.

“Fair value, good for lunch, well presented, food ok, lacks distinction”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2012

On Bank Street, a side street to the right of Primark. Not very appealing from the outside but well presented internally, narrow little place ideal for lunch. Small unimaginative choice of menu, inexpensive, worth a visit for lunch and probably good for Belfast. Can't fault the service and excellent presentation but lacks distinct range of flavours when compared to the diversities of Manchester's curry mile, Bradford, Midlands and East London. Mournes Fish place next door offers more exciting option despite being different cuisine or even Thai Village (awesome) near Park Inn, 5 min walk past Nando's on same side of the road.

“Excellent food, well presented. Very friendly and timely staff and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2012

Had meal for two on evening of Sat 25-Feb-2012 after recommendations from friends. We were not disappointed. Food and service were both excellent. Staff very polite and helpful. Food was nicely timed throughout evening. A nice atmosphere and cosy spot for that wee romantic meal. Will be returning and also recommending to friends. All round good value.
