The Ruba Spice is a nice enough restaurant, the food is nice, the décor is nice and the waiting staff are also nice. Really can't complain about the food, but this is the second time I have been here and the place is a bit pricier then other Indian Restaurants around Belfast e.g. they charge £3.10 for 2 poppadoms and dips where this is usually complementary. Also, the manager on both of my visits has been very surly, no smiles, banter etc which is unusual for someone working front line in a restaurant, it may be a small point but it does affect the enjoyment of the meal. As there are better and friendlier Indian Restaurants about it will be a while before I would return to Ruba Spice.

Initially I was impressed with the friendly service but after an hours wait for our mains was very disappointed, I even noticed one table of 4 walk out without paying for their starters and drinks due to the wait. The manager continually took calls for the delivery service and these orders were obviously serviced first, very poor management. Good good but left very disappointed :(

Our meal was tasty but our evening was sped along to quickly by the over zealous waiters continually mopping up, lifting/replacing etc trying to get stuff ordered.... in stead off allowing a bit of space.
On a personal note I was disappointed to note that my lamb jalfrezzi had precious little lamb but plenty of sauce.
We went on a group on deal which did not seem to help too much on the final bill and probably accounted for the absence of lamb.
On a strange note they serve coke in the smallest of bottles i have ever seen! Also not chuffed to spend £16 on a supermarket £5 bottle of Merlot
I had hoped the restaurant would see the group on deal as a way of getting new customers to return but unfortunately this approach wont have that effect.
