I've eaten here a few times now... it looks like a cheap and cheerful restaurant and the menu gives the same impression. Exactly what I want from time to time - just good quality pub grub style food at reasonable prices. but on 28/06/14 the girlfriend and I had left the car at home and thought we would have a few cocktails... we ordered nachos at £5, bucket of wings at £10, and 2 desserts at £5. during the meal we had 3 cocktails... Now, bear in mind we had ordered cocktails on previous occasions and had no issues with price...then the surprise came...
£52 quid for a casual snack style dinner involving nachos and wings?... sorry guys, I don't know who the hell you think you are but you do not have the right to command £9 per cocktail!!!...I can assure you I wasn't drinking Johnny Walker blue label.
At those prices you are on par with cafe vaudeville and the merchant. Sorry but you don't have the right to command such prices... it's an absolute disgrace, and for that reason I won't be back.
Affordability isn't the issue, I would gladly blow £52 quid on dinner / drinks, if it was even remotely close to being good value for money, but when you sting somebody £9 for a bog standard cocktail outside of the city centre you are just being plain cheeky.
My money will be spent elsewhere from now on and I'll not be recommending the place to anyone else.
