“different and delicious”
Reviewed 7 February 2014

Our lunch at the Ulster Museum Yellow Door was a very pleasant surprise. There were quite a few tempting dishes on offer, but we chose pizza with coleslaw. Both the pizza and the coleslaw were very tasty, quite different, and really delicious. Their recipe book which is on sale would probably be a good investment. We returned for afternoon tea and enjoyed the dark rich carrot cake with excellent coffee (although the coffee could have been a bit hotter). The only negative note was the fact that we were unfortunate enough to sit next to a family who left the table covered with food played with by their children and chips they had thrown on the floor - a bit off-putting that it wasn't cleared away more quickly.

“Tasty wedding reception”
Reviewed 22 October 2013

I recently attended a fabulous wedding reception in the Ulster museum, food was catered for by Yellow door. The bride and groom had a very good experience with the chef who provided an extensive tasting menu and explained that lots of the produce would be locally sourced. It was delicious too and we had baskets full of freshly baked herb/brown/focaccia bread. Highly recommend this group for catering.

“Horrible. I won't be back”
Reviewed 18 September 2013 via mobile

How you can make a chicken sandwich inedible is beyond me? My hot bbq chicken sandwich was cold burnt toast with a heap of lukewarm and dry precooked chicken like you would buy in Tesco smothered in a horrible sweet gloop. Chips were nice but I really wanted the sandwich and three bites was more than enough.

There also wasn't a fantastic selection on the menu and the staff weren't exactly friendly considering they were serving in a cafe in one of Belfast's main tourist attractions.

Definitely won't be back!

“poor coffee and customer service”
Reviewed 2 January 2013

Visited The Ulster Museum recently and had a very disappointing experience at The Yellow Door Cafe. Our coffee was tasteless and when we initially requested that something be done about this we were basically ignored and told rather curtly to join the back of a long que. The manageress came over and rectified the situation but overall a poor experience.
