If you socialised in Belfast in the 80s you can't failed to have dined in Capers in Great Victoria Street, where Belfast was introduced to Pizza. 30 years on they still do pretty much the same menu in a no frills restaurant & have their carry out option too. All pizzas available with cheddar cheese which makes them unique. 10" Caribbean with cheddar cheese has been my staple in my diet ever since - you can't go wrong with Capers.

2 adults and 2 kids: we ate there on Sat evening and the pizza's where just the way would expect - freshly cooked withthe best quality ingredients. The kids loved it and the service was excellent. We were lucky to get a table and it was still full when we left around 8.30pm. Definitely the best tasting and best value pizza in the East.

What has happened to capers. Used to be the place to go to for excellent food. Now its just a half cooked soggy mess made with very cheap ingredients. The colour and taste of the bacon was soo horrendous it was only fit for the dog. Must have been laying about for a few days. Better to avoid. Plenty more choice of pizza restaurants on this road that are excellent quality and cheaper.

Ate here with husband and grandson. Pizza was excellent. The surroundings are in need of upgrading and redecorating...cheap and cheerful but the pizzas are very good. Not licensed so BYOB... if Greens is busy walk on up to Capers...you'll enjoy the food!! (And the small bill)

Came here with a few friends to sit in as a local competitor ( Greens Pizza) the waiting time was to long 1hour! So we made an executive decision and went to Capers.
Ive been to Capers a number of times for Takeaway, and to be honest it never got my taste buds overly excited but it did the job, filled a hole. But I had never sat in for a meal.
Basically this place needs a major make over every things really dated! and it seems really dirty and shabby. The Pizzas that each of us had, was typically Capers always slightly burnt!
Im not massively picky about food but I believe in quality and if you can do the small things right the rest will work its self out.
So basically if you want cheap and cheerful, and you don't want your taste bubs excited, this is the place for you! But I diffidently won t be gracing the doors of Capers again not unless I am at deaths door for hunger.
Sorry Capers, you have the potential to be something great in a very up and coming area, Ballyhackamore, Greens Pizza is always packed they are obviously doing something right.
