My partner and I ate last night in Little Lily's for the second time in 6 months and it did not disappoint. Since we visited first in late winter last year we have traveled and eaten in many nice restaurants abroad and at home - this little bistro has some of the nicest food we have tasted and at a great price.
You need to book as table space is limited but it is well worth the effort of forward planning. Service is very good - attentive without being obtrusive and the menu is Giles Coren's (Times food critic) dream - a few things in each section but very very well cooked food. Last night I had the tempura veg, saffron chicken and panna cotta - my partner had the scampi (I don't like scampi but even I had to admit it was delicious) trio of pork and the panna cotta also - with chocolate polenta cake and rhubarb compote. After a decaff coffee each, we waddled out the door amply fed and feeling very smug at having found such a great place to eat.
