“Fantastic Food and Great Service”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

My partner and I ate last night in Little Lily's for the second time in 6 months and it did not disappoint. Since we visited first in late winter last year we have traveled and eaten in many nice restaurants abroad and at home - this little bistro has some of the nicest food we have tasted and at a great price.

You need to book as table space is limited but it is well worth the effort of forward planning. Service is very good - attentive without being obtrusive and the menu is Giles Coren's (Times food critic) dream - a few things in each section but very very well cooked food. Last night I had the tempura veg, saffron chicken and panna cotta - my partner had the scampi (I don't like scampi but even I had to admit it was delicious) trio of pork and the panna cotta also - with chocolate polenta cake and rhubarb compote. After a decaff coffee each, we waddled out the door amply fed and feeling very smug at having found such a great place to eat.

If you haven't been, go......now.

“Great food but that's it. ”
Reviewed 26 April 2014 via mobile

It's a shame as the food is good. The rest is average. Average service (friendly chef though), grubby floor and no handwash in the toilet. Good do with some music playing. Don't think we will go again. A bit of work and it could be good.

Been to this place a few times now and have tried breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is lovely, fresh and a bit different. Really enjoyed every visit. Great food and well priced. Everyone should try this place! You won't be disappointed!

good value grub, decent menu and good staff. Only downside is because it is a small restaurant, the smoke and smeech that results from the cooking fills the restaurant, they need to invest in some whack off extractor fans that will take all this stuff away
