Three families including kids were well pleased with the flexible menu choice from the friendly and attentive staff. Big portions.........reasonably priced .....will definitely be back for more.

Went to The crooked mile for Sunday lunch. We were so looking forward to a lovely sunday dinner.Ordered soup, beef and crumble.
Soup came 30 mins after we sat down. Advertised was lentil soup with fresh wheaten bread, we got half a bowl of cold soup that was mainly chicken stock cube. No wheaten, just rock hard baguette i asked for fresh ones but were given them same again. The beef dinner was disgusting, the mash was gluppy and hard lumps covered up with beef which was tasteless, roasties were not roasted just a big hard boiled potatoe. vegtables were tasteless, gravy was horrible. Apple crumble had a slight cover of crumble the rest was just liquid with hard lumps of apple, custard and ice cream was good.
We did complain that the dinner was unfit to be eaten , 1 was taken off the bill.
Staff were friendly but after paying £12 in taxis up and down we did not even want to stay for a drink.
Crooked Mile you really need to up your game, I dont expect much because it is after all only £13 for 3 courses but I would like to be able to actually eat it.
Lovely staff and lovely decoration, your food is letting you down!!

It was very disappointing to all of us at The Crooked Mile that your experience with us was such a poor one. The various points you have drawn to our attention have been discussed at length with management and staff and a set of plans drawn up to prevent such problems happening in the future.
We hope you'll return to The Crooked Mile and allow us to show you the improvements we have made following your comments. Thank you.

We visited for Sunday lunch , the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful . We ordered from the Sunday lunch menu and couldn't fault any of our 3 courses. Our daughter had a meal from the kids menu which she enjoyed. The decor is also really nice, overall a pleasant experience and we will be back .

We're sorry your experience of The Crooked Mile was a negative one. At the time the bar only opened at 5pm. The bar is now open Mon - Sun 12noon to close and we serve food Mon - Thurs 12 - 4 pm, Fri - Sat 12 - 9pm and Sun 12.30 - 7pm. With great deals like our two course lunch menu for only £5.95, two course dinner for a mere £9.95 and promotional deals on drinks such as a bucket of beer for £10 we've moved on since then. We hope you'll allow us the chance to make amends as we take all comments both good and bad seriously and return once again to The Crooked Mile. Thank you.
