Was in on a Saturday afternoon. Only had two pints which were fine. The place is a bit dated, however I actually like that as it just looks like a normal bar, which is a rarity in Belfast these days as it's full over overpriced pretentious bars.

Called into The Fountain Tavern yesterday for the 2 steaks with bottle wine or bucket of beer for £29. Service was excellent as always and portion size was good however steak was slightly overcooked served wwll done & not medium as ordered and mash not up to usual standard. Wouldn't put me of going back as it was still a very nice meal. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat.

We have eat here on many occasions and have always enjoyed our meals but sadly on this occasion we didn't. We ordered the chicken Chinese style with noodles and the chicken was really over cooked, so dry it was hard to swollow. The dish was very salty and the sauce so thin it wouldn't stick to the chicken to help with the dryness. It was just like soy sauce had been poured over the food.
We will be back but will never order this dish again.
Great atmosphere in the bar downstairs, live singers and cheap drinks.

Our first bar in Belfast, left a great impression! Really cheap deals, 3 bud for £6.50 all day and 2 smirnoff and mixer for £6.50. Shocked by that. Nice to sit outside watching passers by. Very central location on fountain street around the corner from main shopping area. Perfect! Friendly staff too
