My wife and I booked a table here on Sat 4th March for 8:30pm. We ordered 3 courses each and 2 drinks each, 2 of which were soft drinks. After quite a wait, the seafood chowder starter arrived and was dull and lacking in flavour and had very very little seafood and too many potatoes, it shud av been called potato chowder, lol ! After another lengthy wait, main course Ribeye steak n chips for 2 came and was disappointing also, under seasoned, very dry, chewy & tasteless despite being cooked medium rare. The chips were soft & bland and the pepper sauce was much the same. 2 desserts ordered , after 10-15 min wait we were told that they were all out of cheesecake and wud need to order something else? We ordered pavlova and also a bowl of ice cream. When it finally arrived the pavlova was lovely to be honest and the ice cream looked quite tasty but as it had a black hair in it I decided to give it a miss and to be fair they did remove from the bill. The total came to £60 and I must say I felt a bit robbed, the meal 'filled the hole' so to speak but I've had better meals in Wetherspoons for half the money. On the plus side the waitress who served us was very helpful and friendly throughout. Afraid we won't be back though.
