Best holiday ever.
The was house was immaculate, plenty of room. The children enjoyed the garden and we all enjoyed the view of the sea. Would definitely book again.

“Perffect for family or friends get together”
Reviewed 30 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We booked The Old Rectory for a family occassion because it had 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and was convenient to where we needed to be. The amazing grounds, the view and the accomodation were pure bonus. Public transport is virtually at the door and shops within walking distance. Cant recommend this place highly enough and will definitely return one summer to make the most of the surroundings.

“Lovely ”
Reviewed 2 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We were here while waiting for a channel swim. What a wonderful accommodation, lovely location close enough to Belfast. But ideally situated on the coast. Easy access to the beach and a lovely area to swim and to watch the ferries coming into Belfast. All local amenities are within easy reach. So what of the accommodation itself? Brilliant, a high standard, comfortable, warm, lovely
En-suite facilities, absolutely loved my time here. The owners are very friendly, and will ensure your stay is perfect with lots of interesting tales to share. Well worth a visit.

“WE could not have picked a better place to stay!”
Reviewed 27 May 2015 for a stay in April 2015

What a fantastic house which had everything you needed and was beautifully decorated. The location on the shore of Belfast Lough was terrific and the house was in a quiet lane, yet within 2 minutes drive from the motorway network and only 20 minutes by bus to the centre of Belfast. There were also very local shops, restaurants and petrol stations.

We had a great week's holiday and even the weather stayed dry during the day!
We would have no hesitation in staying here again.

“Amazing accomodations for a wonderful holiday!”
Reviewed 24 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The Old Rectory was more than we could have asked for! It is a beautiful and charming home that is steps away from Belfast Lough! It is extremely accomodating for up to 8 people as it provides 4 bedrooms and bathrooms (complete with shower/bathtub, heating rack for your towels), a fully equipped kitchen (complete with dishwasher, dining and silverware), a washing machine and dryer, and a cozy living room. It is a clean and beautifully decorated space where you instantly feel at home. We were really pleased with its quiet location and didn't have to go far for any shopping or nightlife adventures. What we enjoyed best was the private access allowing us to walk by the water - it was an unbelievable view! What we enjoyed least was the fact that we only stayed for one week - we wished it were longer!
Being in Northern Ireland was already a dream come true; however, staying at this 5-star location made our holiday even better! I would definitely recommend a stay at any of the Abbey Self-Catering properties - especially the Old Rectory!

Well that really says it all! What an amazing review and we're so pleased that you had such a fantastic time both in The Old Rectory in particular and in Belfast in general. We are always slightly anxious about a group of young people coming for a wedding but in your case we needn't have worried ! Thank you for writing such an excellent and detailed review which is very much appreciated.

“Perfect”
Reviewed 19 March 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We stayed in The Priory, for a family celebration. The house was very tastefully furnished, the kitchen had everything you would need for 8 people, and very comfortable seating around a large table. The bedrooms, were spacious, very comfortable beds, and each room had its own en suite....the house is a gem for large parties of people.... very warm and comfortable. it is situated in a very quiet cul de sac.
Only 10 minutes by car to the city centre..... perfect!
The owners were very helpful and gave us a warm welcome.

“Fantastic stay in a beautiful house”
Reviewed 4 March 2015 for a stay in February 2015

My wife and I, her sister and brother-in-law stayed here for a week in February. The house is absolutely lovely, all of the bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the bed in our room was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The kitchen is fully kitted out and is stunning, so much so that my wife is now looking for one similar for our own house. The house is very well located, just a 10 minute drive from Belfast City centre or, if you prefer not to drive, just a 5 minute walk from the train station from where you can ride into the city. It is also only a 2 minute walk to the Belfast coastal route footpath, with lovely walks along the side of Belfast Lough. When we arrived we found that the owner Rosemary had left us a very welcome 'welcome pack', with a lovely lemon drizzle cake, tea and milk in the fridge - perfect after an early start to the day. Altogether, we could not have asked for a nicer place to stay and Belfast itself is also a fantastic city with lovely, friendly people.
