“Nice hotel great location”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

Stayed for the weekend at this hotel - really enjoyed it. Location is great for the centre of Belfast and equally great and easy to get onto the motorways.
Rooms were comfortable and clean and staff friendly.
Certainly would stay there again

Room Tip: We stayed in 118 when I go there again I would ask for a room higher up so as to take in the view.

A colleague and I stayed here on Sunday 22nd June ahead of a work meeting at the Gasworks complex on the Monday.
The location was ideal. It was just a short taxi ride from City Airport (under £10 and approx 20 mins), and a ten minute walk from the city centre.
The hotel is set in a peaceful location, quiet and away from traffic noise.
It is modern and has a bar and restaurant on site. There is also a small car park which I think is chargeable.

The reception staff were very helpful and polite, and at their suggestion we got a discount on breakfast by buying it at check-in.
Breakfast was self-serve buffet of hot and cold food including cooked breakfast and a choice of cereals, yoghurts, cold meats and fruit.
The chef would also cook eggs to order.
The quality and choice available was very good for the price and they make a good cuppa!

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well maintained with a very good level of cleanliness.
There is good reliable free WIFI and cable TV.
The rooms have a nice shower and bath, safe, plenty of hanging space and an iron and ironing board.
The only really annoying thing is the crappy old hair dryers in the room. They're tiny and not very strong. It seems a really odd thing to cheap out on when the rest of the hotel is well finished to a high standard. Hopefully they'll sort this.

All in all I'd say this is a brilliant hotel for the price. The location is great and the facilities are very good.

For a good night out try the nearby Cathedral Quarter for great restaurants, pubs and bars.

Attended the hotel on business and was not too bad at all. Room was clean (ignoring the badly stained carpet) and also very comfortable.
Had a good evening in the bar which is very comfortable.
Location very handy for city centre and easily within walking distance.
Breakfast was decent but not outstanding. Choice was good but food was rather dry.

Overall you are paying for location more than anything. Found it slightly over priced however you need to remember this is in the heart of Belfast.

I booked a meal for my partner and myself through a voucher deal. Was pleasantly pleased with the hotel foyer and the staff in general. But regarding the food - totally opposite. We were seated in a position of the restaurant where we could see most of the goings on behind the food preparation counter where chef and others were cooking. I was really disappointed to see that all pasta meals i.e. Spaghetti, Gnocchi etc and sauces were out of packets obviously purchased at the local low cost stores. I would not be in a hurry to eat there again.

Great Hotel.
The hotel is a safe 10 minute walk out of the busy central shopping and nightlife centre of Belfast. It is situated in a business district that was dead at the weekend so parking was free. It would be worth checking out the rates during the week for residents as they appear high on the public notices outside.

We had a room at the front which was nice for the evening sun. Rooms at the back look over an empty lot. The hotel is kitted out really as a business hotel and not a tourist hotel. There is no atmosphere in the bar or the restaurant for example. Having said that I would still award the hotel 5 stars for everything except the dinner.

The service, all staff and the quality of the room were entirely excellent. It couldn't have been better in all honesty. I wouldn't even worry about the lack of atmosphere in the lobby because there is an amazing bar only a short stroll away up Cromac Street and onto Victoria St with craft beers on tap, an astounding array of whiskeys, eye-popping local artwork and a Belfast welcome on the mat: That's Bittles Bar.

Filinis restaurant on the ground floor is best avoided at all costs. I found the hotel experience to be very positive so this is described separately in a less than positive review. The hotel itself is a great base for discovering Belfast and the breakfast was perfect. There was almost everything on the buffet and if they didn't have it, like an omelet, all one had to do was ask. Well done The Radisson.

Room Tip: Room at the front is sunny in the evening.

Can't go wrong staying here.

Stayed for business and the room and facilities were excellent.

The staff were all lovely and the breakfast was veru good quality. Not directly in the city centre but only about a 10 min walk.

Highly recommended

We have had an enjoyable 2 night stay at the raddison blu.the rooms were nice clean and comfortable the staff very pleasant and helpful. But our only problem was on sunday evening we decided about 8 .30 to eat in the gasworks bar .We ordered a curry and a burger and some drinks ,the food was absoloutley dreadfull unedible coldish reheated beef burger and revolting chicken curry. When the barman came to clear the table my partner said how awfull the food was the young barman then stated that no charge for food would be made.We went to bed feeling hungry that night and dissapointed,we had decided to pay 12 pound for the breakfast which was superb ,please sort out your resteraunt food you have a good product .
